amitriptyline and tramadol and dhc combo

Hi

I got prescribed amitriptyline today only 10mg at night to help me sleep but I also take 300 mgs of tramadol and 100mgs of dihydrocodeine a day which is not prescribed by the Dr. is it safe to also take the amitriptyline? I've read mixed reports on this stuff anyone have any experience with it? I also have taken 2mgs of Xanax today I have high tolerence to the trams dhc and benzos. I've read that amitriptyline is an antidepressant I thought these types of meds take weeks to start to work but from what I've read this stuff kicks in straight away and is also used for pain relief?

Any info would be great

10mg of amitriptyline isnt a high dose at all. So you can mix it with your other stuff, no problem at this dose

And yes, amitriptyline is used for nerve pain relief in a lot of people
