amiltriptyline synergy w/ opiates

i just got som amiltriptyline, and i was wondering if the elavil will synergze/potentiate opiates. i found a low dose of flexeril to definitely add to the opiate experience; does amiltriptyline feel similar to flexeril? i dont mind any side effects from diphenhydramine. i need ike 150mg diphenhydramine to synergize/potentiate my bupre, so i am used to the antimusanaric effects.

also, does anyone have any experience taking amiltriptyline for depression, pain, or to add to an opiate's analgeisa? any input, thoughts, or opinions on amiltriptyline would be greatly appreciated!

what is a good starting dose? i was planning on taking 10-15mg amiltriptyline ( i have the 25mg pill and i cut them all in half as best as i could) with some bupre to comedown from a amphetamine high, i am planning on taking vyvanse in the morning (9:00AM) , then taking the amiltriptyline at night to help me sleep around (around 9:00pm). im assuming there will be no interaction between the vtvanse and the elavil but i just want to make sure that they dont interact.

i have searched around google and bluelight, but i keep getting mixed results. some people really like amiltriptyline to potentaite opiates, some people think they are decent w/ opiates, and some people absolutely loath them.


again, any advice or concerns about amiltriptyline would be greatly appreciated!!!

It will synergize and will deffinitely make the sedation stronger... as far as potentiate I couldn't tell you off the top of my head. Look at what liver pathway they use.

Also be careful with the combo in high doses..... the tryciclic could be the thing that pushes yyou into a fatal respiratory depression. Be smart start small.... you can always take more, never less.

Careful with this one laCster. It will absolutely knock you on your ass for 12-16 hours. Amitripyline in itself is very sedating, when you mix it with opioids, it's not even a nod IMO, it's just black out.

I wish this was the case for me, whenever I tried Amitriptyline I experienced no sedation.

Yeah amitriptyline is a very sedative AD.

However, you said you took 12.5mg (half a tablet), that's a low dose. Don't take more though, it will mess with the opiate high, doing nothing good but putting you on your ass and in an horrible state.

I think it will just make you fall asleep and wake up dissappointed.
