Ambien

Ambien is a really strong drug, and although it is being distributed in samples and is so easy to get, well so was heroin back in the day. They used to put the stuff in cough syrup. Just because it's being given out like Tylenol doesn't mean that it's harmless.
I don't really know Exactly how it fucks up your brain, but I just know about the way my boyfriend became after being addicted to it. It made him really disoriented in reality and he was really violent. He used to like to cause scenes everywhere we went. We'd get into these huge public fights almost daily..it was horrible, not to mention humiliating. He was also suicidal..I couldn't stop him from cutting himself after we'd get into these kinds of fights. He would cut so deep sometimes that he severed a nerve and thought he lost feeling in his hand. His hand still tingles whenever he moves it a certain way. He finally realized that it was Ambien that caused all this shit and dropped his habit. His mom had a prescription for it (that's where he got it all the time) and they have both been getting really bad teeth problems, and that's one of the side affects of Ambien. It's a really fun drug, but you have to do it in moderation to stay clear of the demon side of it.

Oh and another thing, Ambien doesn't always act as a sedative. When you snort it, you lose the sedative part and just trip. I was totally awake throughout my trip and the hallucinations weren't from being tired. I've also had some really good, uninhibited sex while on Ambien. It makes you crazy.

Ok ambien is cool, I've used and enjoyed it but there is another med for sleep (similar benzo/hypnotic effects) with less side effects and a better trip. Sonata is being prescribed for sleep problems like ambien but it is never. It is out of your system in 24 hours so tolerance and dependency are (at least physically) virtually non addictive. I'd say its a 50/50 mix between cid/x without anxiety. They come in caps and the powder inside goes down pretty smooth. but good luck finding some without a scrip. Happy hunting=D
 
i used to do tons of ambien. when i started it, i always had a great time, but over the years the overall effects have waned. Even with breaks a few months long, I can't get the same feelings i used to. Plus now I have a tendency to black out and do as many pills as I can before passing out. I once snorted 80 10mg pills in one day. I steer clear of it now. So anyway, it can be alot of fun, just dont over do it. It used to make me feel great, like I knew exactly what i wanted to do and how to have the best time possible, and everything would feel like I was on an adventure.

That is EXACTLY what my boyfriend would do. It got so out of control..he would black out and go steal his mom's pill bottle and just swallow the whole thing (well, not literally), do some crazy shit and then pass out. He woke up one day with all the chairs in his house in a circle in his room, as if he'd had a bunch of people over the night before, but no one came over. He was entertaining people who weren't there. I remember being able to see strange energies floating around my house ("invisible people"), but I never got so bad that I actually saw these beings. I remember him telling me about one night afterking a bunch of Ambien, he was on the computer, and there was a black man sitting next to him staring at the computer screen as well. He said that he didn't think it was odd at the time, and the man didn't speak. He was reading trip reports about Ambien and saw that another guy had the same thing happen. Maybe the guy is the demon of Ambien? Like Jesustussin? Nevermind. DON'T GET ADDICTED TO AMBIEN.
 
A lot of people tell they are feeling "strong" and energized and making plans, talkig with a lot of people, (a bit like speed) when on ambien. I dont understand this, the times i had tried to stay up after 10 mg i have felt WERY fucked up and after that I have waked up the next morning without remembering when i go to bed

by the way - is it only me that experiences amnesia in doses over 10 mg?
Isnt it hard to be addicted to a drug who gives you blackout every time? (you want to remember the fun you had..)
 
i was prescribed ambien when i asked for a benzo (heavy sleeping problems).. the doc was all lame about benzos and said "i'll give you something else, benzos are addictive, blah blah".. well when he said it was zolpidem i knew what i was going to get.

anyway, i took 10mg and it didn't do much for me.. i even washed it down with some beer but it took me an hour or more to fall asleep and the next day i just felt kinda drowsy. eventually i tried it again a few nights later, with the same result. i talked him into giving me lormetazepam, that stuff worked for me of course.

a few days ago i was kinda bored and i still had some ambien sitting in my fridge, so why not take one? i think you have to take some drugs/meds a few times before they first start to work. it was like that for me with mdma, coke, lsd, etc. as well. well it turns out i talked shit on irc for about an hour, completely incoherent, and i don't remember jack shit about it. i woke up in my bed after a huge load of refreshing sleep. i did it again yesterday, with the same result. i can't really say that it produces wild visuals or anything, i'm more in a severely fucked up state, half asleep, unable to walk, type or anything else. it also causes slight amnesia (which lormetazepam and xanax didn't really, although i expected them to)

i used to say ambien sucked because it didn't seem to do anything for me.. now i can at least expect it to fuck me up and send me to sleep, although i wish i wouldn't end up on irc talking shit. the cool thing is that it's not so hard to get it prescribed every once in a while because it's not that addictive compared to benzos - i can very well imagine that someone gets highly addicted to that stuff though, just not physically.

long story short: ambien is strange but somewhat OK, but benzos are much cooler still
 
i took 10mg of ambien then smoke a few bowls and felt nothing at all other than the weed. next time im just going to take 20mg and do nothing but sit in my room and hopefully trip

and oh yeah, amnesia is a side effect of ambien. i wondered why i couldn't remember jack-shit after taking 2 and looked it up on their website.
 
I'm going to be taking it for my first time tonight. I'm only taking 10 mgs cause I don't like to over do on a drug the first time. Yah know start off small then progress. Know what you can handle is what I always say. Going to see Big Fish at the same time and I'm going to be with a bunch of girl friends so I'm not driving at all.

Any precations I should take? I was thinking about drinking some caffeine to stay awake.
 
It's a good sleeping pill for people that have problems sleeping/insomnia. Some people abuse it, and use it to be some sort of buzz from it. Personally, I find ambien to be unimpressive to say the least. I've taken doses up to 60mg at a time. It doesn't give me a buzz really, makes me tired, and makes me temorarily go crazy :D lol
 
ambien amnesia is strange, it creates a state like when you are dreaming. the morning after you have faint memories of what happened.

I want to remember what Im doing when i take drugs. therefore i find ambien useless.
 
Ok, sorry jumnping in b4 reading whole thread,
1st time i took ambien I felt very messed up, compbination of tripping and s=stoned (walking in to walls and all) Now it just helps sleep but only with alcholse and 4 me is a good relaxant with alcahole.
 
well 10 mgs didn't do shit to me last night. Got a buzz for like 10 minutes then it went away. The Girls said to me that one usually does it for them but then again they are little people.
 
Well, I took 10mg ambien to sleep when I was withdrawing from OC's, and they knocked me out quick. However, my stomach was always very empty because I couldn't keep down much, but I'd take the pill, lay in bed, feel sorta warm and chill for about 5-10 minutes, then fall asleep. One night I took it a while before I got into bed, and I had some visuals, too, on the dark ceiling, but they didn't scare me or anything. Funny thing is, I have visuals and shit at night anyway, and they scare the shit out of me (I am dx schizoaffective), but on the ambien it was fun.
 
30 mg zolpidem and some weed was an intense experience. I had full blown OEV's and I kept thinking there were other people in my basement when I was by myself. Not really that fun, but very intense.

Then I took 30 mg without smoking and all it did was knock me out. Anybody else experience this?

That's was really an unsafe thing to do. Ambien is a medication that HELPS YOU SLEEP and you decided to drive a vehicle while on it. Do you remember anything coherent about the trip? So not only are you driving on 40mg of ambien but alcohol as well. Bravo my friend, bravo.
 
They could have been the 5mg ones (making it 20 mgs), but I agree, still mucho unsafe...bad idea, Olyandy...wouldn't you feel bad/stupid if you killed someone while driving under the influence of this cocktail...:\
 
I found something odd about Ambien. My best friend and I were tweeked out for a couple days and he had finally hit the point of psychosis. He was just...crazy...thats all I can say to describe it. Well, me and his wife wanted him to put him to sleep because he was at the point of carrying around a knife. I had about 10 10mg of Ambien in my pocket and luckily he wanted to take them. Well he kept gobbling them down and after an hour the were all gone. The Ambien didn't knock him out, nor did it sedate him or even make him drowsy, in fact, he was more fucked up than he was in the first place, now the guy was in full hallucinations and kept asking for more Ambien. I believe that the hypnotic effects may have just thrown him deeper into psychosis. Finally, I took out some Klonopin two hours later and gave him 2mg. He slowly came down and after another milligram he knocked out. My conclusion was that Ambien is not a really handy tool for a drug comedown. If not, it will only make it worse. Ambien should only be used as a sleeping id for people with minor insomnia. Very odd :\
