Ambien

one last thing I want to bring up about the drug is that when you do get fucked off of it...even if you are by yourself when you close your eyes it will feel as if there are other people in the room. or if you are really getting a good one you could practically hold a conversation with yourself
 
I take ambien in the way my doctor perscribes it to me. That being said, usually at the end of the month, there's a few left over. Three or four of those kids should get you going. BUt you probably wont remember a damn thing the next day
 
I think i took like 30-35mg's of ambien. I may have mixed it with a valium or 2 also, i'm really not sure. I didn't feel shit for most of the day, but at night all i remember is feeling fucked up, and constant double vision. It wasn't horriable double vision, but i was constantly seeing 2 of everything.

I was also smoking some weed with all this, don't remember much of the night. Just remember driving around, and feeling the car's bass on my legs and shit was really nice.

I think that if you take it after a high fat meal, or even a glass of milk, the absorbtion is affected. Oh, something that may be worth looking into is that according to a med. text, tagamet doubles the blood levels of sonata, and since the two are fairly closely related, perhaps the same is true for ambien. Also, it seems that once you take that first pill, additional ones don't do a whole lot except produce amnesia. Anyway, if you didn't, try taking on an empty stomach. And just b/c this time had no effects, doesn't mean that next time won't.

my thoughts exactly. my grandmaother takes it. after she drops her pill a half hour before bedtime, she is wrecked. she can barely walk after dosing. she has to go to bed right away.:D
 
Ambien is a dope-ass drug when you don't use it on a regular occasion. I was prescribed it a few times and noticed a significant tolerance real quick but before the tolerance kicked in I would have a blast. I would feel so good, light, floaty, and sorta sedated. No hallucinations or anything like that, just really relaxed and giggly. My perception of things would be warped and things felt strange. Just taking a single 10mg is alright if you need sleep but I would usually take about 30-40mg to get the buzz. I remember during my stint in rehab I was put on 10mg Ambien along with this other guy I met, man we would get so buzzed before hitting the sack (Ya, I wasn't ready for sobriety, still ain't...considered it a vacation), mind you I hadn't the avaliability of drugs and hadn't used any in like 30 days. I don't know how 50mg of Ambien would not get you high, I was in rehab for benzos and Ambien is not a benzo so I don't see how being a benzo addict would effect the high of Ambien.
 
i had a script for it once, tripping on it was ok but i couldn't remember the trip the next day and i would get horrific hangovers that lasted up to 2 days. needless to say i dont take ambien anymore.
 
^^Well, my insurance cover's it %100, After reading all this I decided ot pop a couple..

I too used it for it's intended purpose, ,and was even prescribed 20mg nightly, though 10mg worked great for insomnia for a ahwile. Then bang, onm night I drank and stayed awake on it for a little while and I started hallucinating like a mofo! My wieff almost called 911!
I was talking to my pants, hitting my self, ,and acting all fucked up like never before, not even on acid or shrooms!

And every time afteer that withg only 10mg the same thing would happen. # more different nights of severe hallucinating and near 911 expereinces. The only thing that would put me to sleep and stop teh trip 2mg of xanax!

I tried it again not that long ago, and eneded up outside not knowing what the hell I was doing and my wife had to go looking for me. I guess I was at the nieghbors for a while but I remember nothing of that!

So, IMO, ambien definately is a weird drug!

Very true. It is very common to feel 'among' somebody in the room even if you are alone.

This shit is weird, and strong. I have seen some weird shit off of ambien, its one of my personal favs, but keep its use to a minimum as its effectiveness decreases rapidly from my experience. BTW I usually take 10-20 mgs.

Well, thanks to the man, my insurance was cancelled.

I was fortunate enough to get a steady supply of "samples" from my family doc. I was on the shit for about one year and I NEVER hallucinated or got any type of buzz whatsoever.

Why is the trip so much fun when you can't remember what happened? Ambien sounds more like a delieriant than a psychedelic to me.

Personally I'm a little terrified when I wake up in the morning and can't remember what happened.

I use Ambien for sleep, but I have had some wild experiences with it. I remember them too. A week or so ago I was in bed watching a movie with my GF, when I started talking to the other people in the room (that weren't really there). I started arguing over my GF with this dude that was sitting on my ironing board next to the iron (he was only about 3 feet tall). I asked my gf to make all of them leave except for the two people by the TV. I was like this from 11:00pm until just before 5:00am. throughout the night there were people jumping up from behind the tv and running around the room - things hanging off the ceiling fan. My digital clock was fucking with me, and I couldn't fall asleep. finally at 4:30am I took a xanax, by about 5:00 I was able to fall asleep. My girlfriend was upset about it because of previous experiences she had a a paranoid delusional schizophrenic.
 
are the hallucinations from ambien similar to diphenhydramine? from the descriptions here they sound similar to delerient effects
 
some ppl dont get shit from them, 60mg's and I was so fucked up I started dancing around and i flatout told my Grandma that i was fucked up she asked on what and for some reason i told her Nutmeg??...i like ambien, tolerance builds up quick as hell though... Doc's must be perscribeing this to anyone because all my family members have a script most with refills.
 
Im a little un-sure on Ambien.
On what symptoms do doctors perscribe it? I'm interested in trying it, I'm only 17 though, should that be a problem?
 
funny story

The one time that I took ambien was from a friend, 10mg I think. It was only one small pill. When I took it at lunch one day, I forgot all about it even when it started kicking all I realized was that I was feeling drunklike. Next class, history. All I remembered was looking up at my teacher and passing back out again for long periods of time, in the front of the class, during a test. The next day I remembered it like it was a dream, and also began to wonder what the fuck happened that day :)

The next day I got the test back and it was an 81 or something, and the kid next to me said I cheated off him... lol.

Ambien can make for some crazy times. The bad thing about it, as said before by others, is that you forget what happened before you fall asleep.
Never DRIVE or GO ANYWHERE after taking ambien, cause odds are you're gonna do something stupid and not remember it, or fall asleep somewhere in the middle of something.

But, physical and mental tolerances do develop and it really sucks when you need to get to sleep but can't because you already took 50mg and don't have any more left for the rest of the month because you've been taking atleast 10mg a night in weeks past to get all funky and have the walls melt before you conk out. But that just applies to you if you're gonna be taking them regularly to get to sleep.

It's definetly fun sometimes, but it sucks when you need to depend on it to get to sleep and the prescribed dose (10mg is the max prescribed) isn't doing it anymore.
