Wassup guys, well i recently picced up a couple 10mgs pills from a friend, d today was my dose ever with a "hypnotic", my plan was to only take one, and so thate what i did for the time being lol, i waited 15 mins and at first i didnt notice anything aside from the slight euphoric feeling, then around 20mins i took another one cuz "i didnt feel anything", then i started feeling really fucking tired haha, so i go to the bathroom randomly and my first hallucination i notice is that my orange gel bottle was like hazy and glowing it was really tripping me out, then through out the day i called like 6ppl talking about random shit, then as i think i remember correctly, everything was triple vision, and also i THINK i went outside in my front yard and started to fucc around with the little pebbles in front of my window, like they looked likr people and i constantly kept telling my girlfriend that "all the familes needed to be saved" LMAO, sorry i wasnt trying to give a trip report, but my question is, is their a way i can make myself remember what i did, and not get so fukkedup that i strt breaking shyt, doing stupid things like ive heard on higher doses? I mean i didnt even plan on taking 20mgs, but when your high, you dont really think about it haha, thanx in advance guys

Ambien is a powerful amnesiac, and is known to impair judgement quite significantly. Take a lower dose if you don't want as much amnesia, but the experience might not be as "trippy" with a lower dose, and you will likely still experience significant amnesia and judgement impairment.

Ambien is NOT a powerful amnesic. In fact, it's actually a relatively poor amnesic. It certainly is nothing like any benzos (it can't compare even to the weaker benzos like clorazepate or chlordiazepoxide).

I can take 100 mg of ambien and wake up next morning remembering everything.
I can take 100 mg of diazepam and wake up having only a vague idea (if that) of what went on the night before.

Well i plan on taking 10 mgs next dose, hopefully i dont do what i did last time lol, but thanx guys, yea i had an idea of what i did, and i remember some of it

From what I have heard, Ambien seems to be quite powerful in its amnesiac properties. Maybe not for everyone, but for some. It does effect everyone very differently.

ambien definitely has strong amnesiac qualities.

to mr 100mg of ambien: my what a big e-penis you have!

Hahahaha you're such a funny guy. 8)

100 mg of ambien is a common dose among those that abuse it, in fact, people take even more of it.

I personally I hate zolpidem and wouldn't take 10 mg of it. It's a useless sleep aid with some weird and fucked up effects. It's definitely not your typical sedative-hypnotic thats for sure.

And no, ambien has crappy amnesic effects.

Ambien can be a moderately powerful amnesiac for some people. I have blacked out a couple times from it but it takes really high doses like 100mg+ to put me into one. Sometimes I may forget some of the things I've said or done but still remember most of the night. Right now I have no benzodiazepine tolerance (which ARE cross tolerant) so 30mg will put me into a strange, psychedelic state. Doses like this won't work real well as a sleep aid but enough to hallucinate.

But the benzodiazepine hypnotics like temazepam, triazolam, estazolam, etc. are more powerful amnesiacs.

Wow. I just wanna say a few things.

Even when i was scripted ambien, although I rarely abused it, I did partake in quite a few nights of over dosing and "fun" (mostly consisted of me stumbling around the city till the wee hours of the morning and finding my way back to my place).

And I just wanna say that despite the many bottles I have had of ambien, i have NEVER come CLOSE to a dose of 100mg, nor has anyone I know who abuses ambien. Even when my tolerance was up there (either through zolpidem tolerance in and of itself, or cross tolerance with benzos), 100mg is a lot of ambien, I dont care what anyone says.

It all depends on your tolerance. Sure you could take a 100mg dose if you are well versed in benzos and other GABA acting drugs. But for someone who has never taken a z-drug or a benzo... there's a reason they start you with 10mg (sometimes even suggesting taking half. The ones I got were scored so you could take 5mg doses)

Also, there's been many threads discussing it, Ambien affects different people drastically different. For some folk 10mg = instant 12 hours of sleep. For others 10 mg is the same as not taking anything at all. Some people get bizarre trippiness even in low doses others get nothing at all. I myself never experienced any weird side effects from Ambien.

Another factor is whether or not you are taking it to sleep or intentionally keeping yourself awake. If you take it knowing you want to sleep then a lower dosage should do ya fine. But if you want to have all the trippy hallucinations and weird blackout scenarios then take a higher dose and keep yourself awake somehow (I don't condone this but for some reason people like it)

If you really want to say ambien is a crappy amnesiac... I'd just suggest reading the various threads on bluelight about people's experiments with it. Perhaps with tolerance you'd need well over 100mg ambien. But that doesn't mean its a crappy amnesiac it just means your tolerance to GABA drugs in through the roof. If you can withstand 100mg ambien then you should also discuss what your normal benzo dosage would be.. I bet its far higher than normal standard dosages.

I take ambien nightly, just take it, and try to go to bed asap... don't stay up after taking it... cut off all the lights and tv, and hit the hay... you'll be fine if you take it like that (and on an empty stomach (which the directions state to do this))

I have a hard time getting to sleep with Ambien so that is usually the reason why I stay awake on it and experience the psychedelic effects. Effects seem to last a couple or few hours and then it becomes much harder to get to sleep. Unless of course you combine it with Seroquel, the effects are much more enhanced, last longer & you can get to sleep whenever you decide to. Expect to sleep in like 12 hours the following day. I do enjoy the combination and usually the people I know who have tried it like it as well...if they are able to stay awake. The combination works as a powerful amnesiac. Seroquel doesn't cause respiratory depression so it is relatively safe, except you may black out and do stupid of harmful things.

I have many scripts of ambien just laying around. They do absolutely nothing to me, maybe because I have a huge benzo tolerance but they dont help me sleep or have any recreational effects at all. They suck imo.

so you take a speedball, i heard that does wonderful things for your health.

Ambien + Adderall is not a speedball. In fact neither of those substances are one of the active ingredients. Coke + Heroin is a speedball. Benzodiazepines/Z-Drugs & Amphetamines are not a terrible combination when used in reasonable doses. Doctors prescribe these combos to a massive amount of people. Too many. But just because a doctor prescribes something doesn't mean its necessarily safe but if you don't use large doses of either you'll be fine. The reason people die from speedballs is because they may use too much of one or the other and its hard to measure your dose correctly.

^ Exactly! I had a friend who used to mix Ritalin and oxycodone and say he had a "speedball". I used to tell him a speedball is cocaine + heroin/morphine. Nothing else - not cocaine/oxycodone, not cocaine/hydromorphone, not cocaine/hydrocodone, not nothing.

The original speedball was cocaine/morphine, just a little factoid.

I think people say that, because "speedballing" has taken off far from its original meaning, this happens with MANY things. It is technically incorrect, but now speedball has taken on the meaning of "mixing a strong upper and strong downer" so you'll frequently hear people calling all different combinations "speedballs," whether or not they really are. One thing is for sure: it is a really good way to overdose, especially with the IV route. People forget to take a little less of both, and quickly find themselves in a bad situation, often times a critical situation.
