ambien + benzos....GOOD or BAD?

Would there be any complications with combining 2mg of ativan and 10mg of ambien? I already took the ativan and smoked a little weed and am feelin good and wonderin if popping that ambien will make things better or is it not good to mix ambien and a benzo?
 
I would give it a shot. It would probably synergize quite well. At the doseage level you're using I doubt you could do yourself any harm. Enjoy :)

So you're combining benzo + benzo. Just don't over do it, but yeah have fun! Some people will really trip out on a couple of Ambiens.

Ambien is NOT a benzo. It is a imidazopyridine. While they share some properties of benzo's they differ in the way they bind to the receptor cells in the GABA complex. Benzo's bind non-selectively to all the receptor cells of the GABA complex while Ambien only binds to the receptor responsible for sedation, thus lowering it's addiction potential and side-effects.

Sorry, I needed a quick answer and figured otherdrugs would probably get more responses.
 
the most it is going to do is make you fall asleep
when I can't fall asleep! 1mg of klonopin and 10mgs of abien does the trick in no time
I also find that if ambien doesn't keep you asleep or the sightest noises wake you up, the added benzo will do the trick
 
I wouldn't mix Ambien with a benzo.
I'm with Technical User in guessing that you're almost guaranteed to simply fall asleep within 30-60 minutes after taking the Ambien.
Not that 10mgs of Ambien would neccessarily put you to sleep on its own, but with something like Klonopin, I don't see you staying awake no matter how hard you try.
 
Just shoot some speed first this way you dont fall asleep. Or better yet! Take some provigil. Then you can't fall asleep. :)
 
I tried some provigil and it just kept me awake. Didn't really make me stimulated or anything. And I had a slight feeling in my head that could have been the mildest headache in the world.
