Hi everyone! I am a shiny, new member. And almost 47 years old. Don't laugh too hard, please. I am finally getting around to getting diagnosed and figuring out what has been wrong inside of my head all of these years, and there are things that I just don't get and need the guidance of some of the great minds I have been reading posts from on this forum. In 2006, I was diagnosed with a rare, incurable auto immune neuromuscular disease called Myasthenia Gravis that was a life changer and it was accompanied with an uptick in my bipolar and anxiety problems. I have a really great Doctor, and he spends time on my case and suggested we treat me for ADHD, and that has helped as well.
I just have a lot of questions about so many meds, and spend far too much time pouring over discussion threads so I felt like this was a good place to join. It seems like a very honest, in your face, take it or leave it situation here, and at my age, that is what I dish out, so it is what I respect.
About me:
I live in North Carolina. I am married and have a 12 year old son and a 20 year old daughter. I am on permanent disability because the disease I have has no cure, and has almost killed me three times. But it failed. I used to be a professional make up artist, and I was damn good. I miss it, every single day.
I believe in God, marriage equality, legalized weed, love at first sight, and Georgia Bulldog Football.
I do not believe in Bigfoot, non-alcoholic beer, luck or the Designated Hitter Rule.
Thanks so much for having me, and I am looking forward to learning from everyone here. :D
