[found some old poems from the time when i was homeless and on the streets and thought I'd post them]



Am I Strong Enough

My heart still aches from all before
a soul still lost and torn in a battle
yet not won
breath not guarenteed for tomorrow's
done deeds
feet shreded from the forever path to
walk
body is battered and beaten from everyday
life
hands are cold and twice one's age
eyes hold the secrets I dare not tell
and twice fear you'll learn.

Tomorrow is still a day away
so i open my eyes to the world
glove my old hands for the day
stretch out my battered body for more
stand on my two feet shakily as I walk my path
I may not know where my soul is quite yet...

My heart sits in your palm, it is yours...
