am i not enjoying ambien correctly?

i took 10mg of ambien, no tolerance, first experience ever with any benzo type drug.

i mean, i felt a little giddy at first, then i felt sleepy but i fought it off. my body didn't feel that great at all. i definitely didn't feel sober, but "good" is not a word i would use to describe how I was feeling.

what gives? this drug just sucks, or what?

Zolpidem sucks. I do not consider it to be recreational nor worthwhile. They are good for those with light insomnia, but think they are no good for abuse. You took a standard therapeutic hypnotic dose, so you got a little taste of the drug however I assure you taking more will not yield euphoria or anything good like that. Don't abuse zolpidem, it's notorious for causing regretful situations.

I definitely wouldn't bother with it for anything other than short term relief of insomnia and it isn't that great at that IME, better than Zoplicone for me but not much.

Abusing it yields pitiful results and your tolerance will sky rocket in no time, keep it for low dosing for sleep as it what it's for

That's funny because I took 70mgs and I was trying to drink my keys and couldn't for the life of me figure out why I wasn't on my roof fixing the shingles.... That was at 3am and I was sitting in my supercharged toyota tocoma that clears 3 ft from the running boards to the ground and I kept catching myself thinking I was going to fall into the water..... I was in my paved driveway .... So it most certainly has value but I wouldn't compare it to Xanax or anything of the sort but I love ambien! 70mgs is stupid high so I wouldn't advise doing it but try 20mgs but careful because you will do dumb shit and I don't even drive when I smoke weed and I was trying my hardest to go to class at 3am totally destroyed

Well the way you describe it means it works.
It is a sleeping pill with a 2.5 hour half life.
If you went to bed at the point when you felt "sleepy", then you would have slept. (Which is what Ambien is prescribed for).
I don't get it when people say Rx drugs suck.
I'm not trying to preach, but am just trying to explain it logically.

I think you're searching for a drug that gives effect of feeling "good",kind of euphoria, but ambien has no recreation value, as mentioned above..so, it would be better for you to stop trying to get "high" with ambien, i think it's just a waste of time, and a bad trip is possible with ambien abuse..ambien won't give you what you're searching for, but that's just my opinion..other people, may think that it has recreational value, but the most would think that it has not..Anyway, be safe whatever you do, and take careful, man..

-Dont try and get high off zolpidem, its not very "fun" at all in my experience and my opinion. You can't give them away here because nobody wants them. As far as "enjoying Ambien correctly", well, that's up to you. If you enjoy zolpidem's effects, then you are enjoying them "correctly". There's no drug user final exam at the end of the day to find out if you enjoyed something "correctly". Everybody reacts differently to different drugs because we're all different.

I'm going to close this thread, recreational use of zolpidem is fleeting at best, and a trainwreck at worst. I encourage you to use the search engine, as this has been covered many times.
