i'd actually suggest calling about this rather than leaving it alone... don't call up and ask anything stupid, but i think it's entirely reasonable for you to call and inquire about the status of your pending (or potential) charge. if they don't find out what it is, you could be facing paraphernelia charge; if they do, possession of a controlled substance would be my guess.

on the flipside, i guess there's something to be said for leaving it alone and hoping they just forget about it or get lazy or something, which is entirely possible, but at some point i would want to know what/if they were charging me w/

Im almost %100 sure that they never even checked it for anything.Ive never seen or heard of anyone getting shit taken from them and wait for them to send it 2 a lab and then get results.Does it make sense that they would go thru all that time and money just to try to pin alittle powder of something on you.Unless they arrested you and then foundit on you then i dont think they would send it to a lab.

yeah. as a followup to this, i actually know a guy in real life who got caught snorting white before a concert. there was like the tiniest amount ever left in the bag along with a straw, and he told the cop it was his ritalin that he crushed up. the officer said he was going to send it to the lab (it was definitely not ritalin), but my friend only ever got a paraphernelia charge. i'm pretty sure he told me that when he called the officer to follow up w/ him, he essentially told him he knew it was cocaine but was just going to let it go and give him the other charge because it was such a small amount and what not.

I could also be that they used up the sample before testing for everything, since u said it was a small amount, that would be my guess
