Ok so heres what happened; IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ SKIP DOWN 5 Bullets.
-I didn't get any sleep at all monday night, because i was in minor WD and had taken about 10 diphenoxylate to keep me sane, and stayed up watching the new season of weeds on netflix.
-Around 5am i decided to snort some Adderall XR (stupid i know..i'm scripted and rarley take them because of the side effects, but i had a full day of school ahead) mixed with Ambien.
-I had a little line, maybe 7.5 mg of adderall and was awake and fine UNTIL! cont..
-It was not untill my second class of the day, whilst in the middle of class, my nose started BURNING when i inhaled..pretty much every time i inhaled i could sneeze at will.
-I chalked this up to the snorting (i hate snorting anything unless it's small like a roxy, even an 8mg dilaudid will clog my nose).

-To remedy my poor nose, when i got home, i mixed up a nasal saline wash. I USED WARM TAP WATER!!!!!, baking soda, and salt, a recipe my doctor gave me.
-so i use the salline in my nose...didn't help much, but better than having adderall in ma nose.
-THEN I GOOGLED NASAL IRRIGATION WITH TAP WATER BECAUSE I THINK I SECRETLEY KNEW...ABOUT N. FOWLERI You can google it,yes, it's as menacing as it sounds.
-This is an amoeba that lives IN WARM WATER, and is OFTEN in TAP WATER!!! THIS IS A PARSITE THAT ENTERS THE HUMAN BODY THROUGH THE NOSE, MOVES TO THE BRAIN, and EATS YOUR BRAIN. Causes disease called PAM, menengitis on steroids and meth at the same time.
-as a minor hypochondriac i was absolutley horrified when i read this..i nearly had a panic attac.
I live in the Mid-south and it's the dead of winter. Snowed the night of my ingestion of a potentially fatal parasite, to give you an idea. It says that this parasite can survive in the winter, but in an inactive state. The tempurature has been wildly fluctuating all week, but since sunday, it's been below 40 degrees farenheight. The amoeba prefers temperatures between 70-150 degrees or something.
Basically i have a few questions; Keep in mind symptoms start 3 to 5 days after insufflation. It has been 48 hours.
1. Am i at risk for contracting this? The water i used was not distilled, boiled, sanatised, or other wise. Straight from the faucet, only added salt and baking soda.
2. It's the winter, is it really Feasable for me to contract this?
3. One of the first symptoms is distorted or hallucinated smells, My smell is actually coming back today and i can smell mary jane once again(the addy really fucked my nose) and the cough syrup all smells normal. Is this a good sign or just too early to tell.
4.Back in October i was snorting a bit of Dilaudid daily, and when my nose clogged, i would fill a syringe with tap water and shoot it in my nose to allow more room. Is this proof that i won't get this illness?? Keep in mind this parasite likes HOT WEATHR, It's not gotten over 50 degrees farenheight here in about a week. I was doing this back in the summer, but less water probably.
5. Other symptoms are headaches, neck pain, fever, vomiting, and the works. I have chronick neck and back pain, so how will i tell if my neck gets stiffer??
Thank you guys so much for any advice. I'm really desperate and really fucking scared..I think i was grieving pretty badly yesterday, i almost cried several times, and was very angry. I have made peace and prayed to God to give me a second chance because i'm only 20 years old, but i'm still really fucking scared.
Today has been a good day too, better than usuall which REALLY FUCKING SCARES ME..idk if it was the codeine and weed or the fact that i have AMOEBA EATING MY FUCKING BRAIN.
Fuck it-im out. Ps, if i develop symptoms in the next 3-5 days i will probably just rob the pharmacy, and the dopeman, get really high and probably do really reckless shit to try to kill my self.
The disease cause by this parasite is fatal in 95% of cases, and i'd rather not spend my last hours in a hospital only to be pumped with nasty anti-fungals and a probably minimal dose of painkillers, surronded by grieving folks...people ask what hell is like. ha.
