Am I alright to drink on 0.75mg of xanax?

I did 60mg of adderall today, and after feeling the effects of coming down I took 0.75mg of xanax about an hour ago, and its my friends Birthday tonight.

Ive always never wanted to drink on xanax because the one time I did I blacked out....but that was drinking alot of rum and taking 2mg of xanax with it.

Im wondering would it be possible to have a couple drinks in a couple hours?? I dont want to leave myself in a bad position, and when i say drink I mean just casually drink....not get wasted.

As much input as possible would be greatly appreciated.

Casually drinking on that dose should be fine. Don't zone out and keep pouring glasses not paying attention to how much you drink. On benzos you never feel like your buzzing enough or drunk enough : /

Yea, I think you shuld be perfectly fine to drink. Given that you took 60 mg's of a stong stimulant earlier today and that you only took .75mg's of xanax, you probably wont have much to worry about. Even if you hadn't takrn the adderall earlier, I still think .75mg's of xanax isnt that much to worry about when drinking with it, unless your drinking very heavily.

It also has alot to do with how you feel. If you feel very sedated and anxiolitic from the xanax you took, the more it will probably interact with the alcohol.

Also, the half life of alprazolam(xanax) is not very long, so if your not drinking the alcohol for another couple of hours, and your only "casually" drinking, I think youll be fine.....just pay close attention to how you are feeling between each drink...and once you get to that point where you think you might be losing alot of your motor functions and inhibitions, its probably time to stop drinking....but that is true with any drinking situation whether or not a benzodiazepine is involved.
Basically, just be carefull, and do your best to monitor your respiration, inhibitions, etc...

Thanks guys, I almost want to take another 0.5, just because I hadn't taken adderall for a while and for some reason (it doesnt do this with alot of people) I notice I feel the effects of adderall SO much more after taking a week or 2 off. I really want to take another 0.5 and go out in the next hour and possibly drink in a couple of hours...you think that would be alrite??

Benzo's give you the "i'm fine, I can drink some more" feeling. It is hard to control the amount that you drink on a benzo. Its a drug that makes you feel calm and that everything is alright. This leads to more drinking. It's impossible to say that you know that you will only have a couple of drinks, because once the booze hits you with the benzos your thinking changes.

I have blacked out from drinking on .5mg of xanax, granted I drank alot on it. I didn't plan on drinking much, but thats how it turned out those nights.

I guess the eccessive drinking had something to do to it but I didn't realize you could black out just off such a low dose.

This im just gunna smoke tonight and take another benzo and just not worry about it.

Ive had just as much fun doing xanax off an adderall comedown and smoking with friends while they drink, and not drink. Love the weed+benzo combo it makes you (well me at least) amazing and perfect

^ Yea I def had 6-8 beers on top of the .5 of xanax.

Is it likely to black out on .5 of xanax? Maybe not, but this is a harm reduction site.

IF YOU WAKE up with a painful feeling in your butthole region, and dont remember what happened, it was probably not a good idea! And thats a strong possibility with xanax

Any xanax dose under 2mgs that leads to blackouts after heavy drinking is most likely the heavy drinking part and has barely anything to do with the xanax. (im a bit mashed sorry for poor sentence structure) But my point is you can blackout from drinking alone dont blame the drugs man...

^ I have to disagree. There are plenty of times that I would not have blacked out without that 1mg xanax added to the mix.

They potentiate eachother, so how would it not increase the chance of blacking out?
