Stimulants Am I Alone in my Perception of this "Smell"?

I totally hear you..I smelled the same types of odors when I was using methylone heavily. I stank so bad and I thought everyone else could smell it, too..but I asked , and they denied any body odor from me..and they wouldn't lie either..so idk if its a perceptual alteration caused by the drug..but I truly think some metabolites r being sweated out
.other people cant smell it for some reason, I also noticed that odor even after the body odor was gone
 
^Exactly, what's that all about? The amount of times I've thought to myself 'my god i smell like a foot, shower time' only to still be able to smell it after i got out. I started to think it was some kind of drug related odour hallucination, you convince yourself You stink....... Or something.

Urgh, meph sweats! Am i the only one who doesnt miss that skanky shit?
 
During amphetamine binges I would get this really old, dusty, smoky smell in my sinuses and it would follow me everywhere. It would also mix with whatever I was smelling in the most aweful ways. It wouldn't go away until i finally came down and was off it for a few days. No matter how often I showered, brushed my teeth, blew my nose, or wherever I was, there was this ever-present smell.

And this was all oral methamphetamine. It may be a recurring sinus infection, I am not sure.
 
As much as you think you smell (you do), remember that you might be fixating on it on the comedown stage of stimulants. You might still think you absolutely must smell after a shower, and you still might, but you smell 100x better to other people than you did before the shower, so relax! :D

The dry mouth, however, is a killer with any stimulant or cannabis. It makes your breath absolutely horrible in record time! I always sip on water, all the time, and it is still terrible when I have drug-induced cotton mouth. Not smoking weed and not using beta blockers helps so much with preventing cotton mouth, btw.

Has anyone used Biotene or anything like that to protect from dry mouth bad breath on the go when you don't exactly have access to a sink to use mouthwash or a toothbrush?
 
Yea Amphetamines have a ammonia cleaning product like smell to them It is messed up!!! Does any else notice this though Marijuana I smoke it and the effect wears off and I don't smell like weed but when I go to the gym my sweat reeks of that typical weed smell.

I've had this ammonia smell myself after staying up for days on ethylphenidate. I've asked if others can smell it to and they say they can, although they can't pin point it to me. I thought it was a hallucination of my sense of smell at first.

I smell it too and it seems like a 1hour shower wouldn't help... my guess is that you smell it (ammonia) because some drug is still left in your nostrils, and also because our body eliminate the drug by the sweat and urine.

I went kayaking with 2 friends a couple weeks ago & for whatever reason my sweat smelled kinda like weed... I used to smoke alot & we did smoke a a bowl out on the water, but I only took a few puffs & I smelled it even before smoking. When we got back in I could smell my BO & I thought it was just me until one guy said "I can smell that weed- thats some good shit" but I didn't have any! It was the other friend's weed & we finished it hours earlier. We hung out for a little bit & he said it two more times. I was kind of embarassed to say "them's my pits you're smelling."
Occasionally my sweat just smells like that even when I haven't been around any weed, but I thought it was just me who thought it smelled like herb until that day. I thought it was funny as hell that someone else said it.

As for amphetamine & smell, it makes either my nose more sensitive or my brain react to smell more. If I take it before I do some cleaning any whiff of nasty smell has me gagging. Even just walking past my kitty's litter box is hard. I work for an old couple once a week & the old guy pisses in a bucket & I think he just dumps it in the plants on the back porch. At first I thought it was dog piss but I've seen the little bucket both in the bathroom (next to the toilet & full of piss) & out on the porch in the smelly corner. Gross. I wonder if the smell sensitivity has anything to do with the decongestant properties of amphetamine.
 
Back when I was using and would take a large amount of Dexedrine, people would say that I had a strange sour chemical smell even immediately after having a shower. People would even notice this sour chemical smell even after showering 2-3 times in a day if I was on a heavy dex binge.
 
This is true, I could smell meth and some other stims from myself so it probably applies to most stims..

I'm surprised that nobody mentioned mephedrone. That stuff has so distinctive chemical reek that not only I can smell it from people when they're high, I can smell it from clothes even good 2-3 days after last dose. Most people I know reported the same. About 9 months ago I spilled out about 400mg of meph in my wallet and I can smell it TODAY. No wonder its in peoples sweat.

To those who say its just because you can smell it from your own nostril: this is also true but its not everything. Sure if you snort loads of anything you're going to smell it all the time. But if I just took these drugs orally I could smell it from sweat as well.
 
Ha ha! I thought it were just me! I bomb my speed and that cat pee smell it has - well when I'm on it, now and again I get faint whiff of it coming from me, no ones ever commented that I stink but it makes me well paranoid, I'm forever spraying deoderant because of the extra sweat and worry that I stink of cat pee! I bathe everday and even getting out of the bath I sometimes catch a whiff! I'm like what the?
Never noticed with MDMA - but I'm already speedin when I drop. Never noticed with coke either, but that could be cos when I did coke I always sniffed.
Anyway - now I KNOW the smells real I aint imagining it I better head to the chemist an bulk buy deoderant an bodyspray lol.
 
I don't know about amphetamines, but I can smell heroin on people (especially myself, of course). My bf used to reek of it at times, too. It doesn't seem to be off-putting, tho, just a unique odor. And like you guys, I thought it was just me. Hmmm....interesting.

You don't smell coke heads because if they have enough money for coke, then they have enough money for deodorant.

It can be very noticeable depending on how a person does it. I don't really smell it on people who snort it unless I'm in a room of people where everyone is doing it and then it's like a weird combination of something slightly fluoride-ish and vinegary mixed with light-strong BO. Coke smokers on the other hand usually start smelling like burning chemicals when they get sweaty. This one crackhead I worked with ALWAYS started smelling like a kerosene soaked rag dipped in piss by the end of the first hour in the sun.

Although it's really hard for me to describe the actual smells themselves I can definitely smell it when people are on uppers or opiate users when they get the sweats. People who are sweating while they're tripping have all kinds of weird scents too imo.

A little off topic but does anyone else notice that really high quality cocaine smells/tastes very slightly like something fluoridated? It's something I've noticed across the best I've seen/had, but it's mostly an undertone that I'll catch at the tail end of a deep whiff or when it hits the tongue.
