Am I about to have a heart attack?

All right, I did a few shots of good coke last night, and a couple shots today. The last shot I did) about 30 minutes ago was intense. Around 10 minutes after doing the shot, I started feeling a slight pain in my left arm, and I was sweating. I started worrying that I was gonna have a heart attack. I took 0.2 mg of clonidine to lower my blood pressure. Heart rate is about 96. I am really really scared to death I think I'm gonna die. What can I do, please please please my left arm is numb im so scared

Heh, what's wrong with ringing a friend and asking them to call an ambulance? I'm sure you aren't having a heart attack, but clearly you are panicking and not feeling good. I do appreciate how scared you may feel going to ER, but how much more scared of dying are you?

Every minute that passes will ease the effect of the coke and the fact that it was 30 minutes ago means that very soon whatever happened you will be able to say to yourself it's now over. But when this is over, I'd see a doctor in the next few days. Give some other excuse but describe the symptoms - he'll probably send you for tests which will reassure you or make you aware that this is a drug you need to avoid (or avoid IV'ing anyway).

If you have them, take aspirin.

Please take my advice. We can't know what's happening to you. Everyone knows that you can't say "rubbish" to the idea of a heart attack after IV'ing coke. We'd all rather you lived to fight another day :)

I took a bunch of aspirin, the pain and numbness in my left arm diminished a bit, but I am still very sweaty and my chest feels like I have a little heartburn. I am fucking scared guys. Symptoms started over an hour ago, how long would it take to fade away, if at all?

Go to the hospital and tell them you have chest pains (will ensure they check your heart) and your arm is numb. They'll do an ECG and be able to determine right away if there's a problem. You don't have to disclose that you bang coke, they'll find out if there's something wrong (with your heart at least) without you telling them that.

To be honest I think you will live. I'm making the assumption that you aren't an old man with existing heart problems about to have a massive heart attack anyway. But you absolutely must go to hospital. Preferably now. Take someone with you! Don't say it's after taking coke (though they will blood test you). Don't worry. You really are better off being honest.

I've ended up in hospital after drugs more times than I like to remember. Not once have I been judged or treated with anything other than kindness or dignity.

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but you're dying. But hey, at least you got really high on cocaine today! What a way to go, right?

No, you're not really dying. But you obviously don't know your limits with coke, maybe you should take a step back and look at what you're doing to yourself. If you can't exercise any control over your use, and use to the point where you think you're having a heart attack and are going to die, what's the fun in that? Maybe you will kill yourself eventually. Is that a risk you're willing to take just for that rush?

I'm not normally one to preach, but I think it's something you need to think about.

I took aspirin and clonidine my friend is on his way but im feeling better now. any chance it might just fade away?

My heart rate is just below 100, i'm not feeling really any pain i can function fine, im just sweating a bit and it feels like i got heartburn, and sometimes a little chest pain

^^ If you're feeling OK now I think it's best to see your GP ASAP to get checked over, but it doesn't seem like you need to go to the hospital now - but only you know how you feel. Don't tell the doctor you've taken any illegal drugs (obviously) since you don't need that on your medical record. It sounds more like a panic attack triggered by cocaine, and you may be prescribed something for anxiety/panic. Perhaps coca isn't the drug for you. Learn from this and take something other than cocaine next time.<3

Yeah, I'm feeling okay now, but symptoms of slight dizziness and heartburn comes and goes every once in a while. could it actually fade away? back 45 min ago i had all the symptoms of a real heart attack: palpitations, tremors, sweating, sense of impending doom (i was about to cry), tightness in chest, pain in arm and shoulder and numbness. but now it's gone but I still feel some slight numbness in my arm, and my heart beating fast. kinda sweaty and very anxious

if i dont go to the hospital (after all the shot was nearly an hour and a half ago) will i still live?

With that heart rate you probably just got a panic attack
And you will feel massive chest pain and really labored breathing in a heart attack.

You might be hyperventilating, which causes tingling and numbness in arms, but since you got already better, the panic attack has started to fade away.

Hey, you can obtain beta blockers to limit you heart rate and blood pressure if you're concerned about it in the future.

And heart attack would probably happen as soon as you push the plunger...

Now you're just exhausted from the fear and anxiety. Relax

or if you can't relax, go to ER and get some benzos.

The chest pain you experienced was from mycocardial ischemia, i.e. your heart was working so hard that it was unable to maintain a functional level of oxygen in your cardiac muscle (heart).

It is very possible that you did permanent damage. I am not saying you did, but what happened to your cardiovascular system is not normal or something you can write off. You could have damaged your heart valves, you could have killed off more cardiac cells from hypoxia than you can function with during high exercise without. Kind of like pulling a muscle. You need an EKG.
Not to mention the possibility of endocarditis from IV shooting.
I'm not judging you- I just think what you did was plain stupid. Next time go to the fucking ER if you think you're having a heart attack not BL. Maybe your parents get on your nerves, but no matter how annoying they are, they deserve more than to find their kid fucking dead of an IV coke heart attack.
This thread should have been closed after first post.
Yeah, this is a flame.

You still need to go to the hospital. I cannot understand how someone who takes a drug that has been said to "kill heart tissue" immediately upon use, does not go to the hospital when he suspects a problem with his heart. Geez.

I'm a minor (17 next month) and I find it depressing to see people my age or younger already injecting themsleves :\
even more depressing to see theyre doing it alone.

palpitations/tremors/sweating will happen if you take coke anyway, it does with me and everyone else.
panic attacks arent uncommon with coke either, so dont rule that out.
You'll be fine in the short term I should think, but I hope you dont do it again.
