I was with a friend the other day, and he wanted to get high. We didn't have any weed, and decided we'd check out a smoke shops' "legal highs" for the hell of it. Since the ban of K2, Spice, and related products, I didn't think I would find anything than mixes of mildly psychoactive botanical herbs. I was recommended a certain "incense." The packaging, which reminded me of Salvia, said, "Not for human consumption." We smoked some in joints initially and got only a little high. I smoked a joint to my self, and shared one with him. I smoked another joint to myself later that night and got very high. I ripped it in my bong about an hour ago, and started TRIPPING BALLS with my heart racing like hell. That's when I Google'd user reviews that spoke of heart attacks, seizures, death, you name it. Freaked me the fuck out, I'm done with this shit!

I think I may have unintentionally bought an RC at a smoke shop. My question is, are there still blends out there that contain potent cannabinoids? If so, it's very dangerous! Thoughts, commentary, experience, advice, knowledge, etc.

I'm still very high, I apologize if my writing isn't very coherent.

Yeah its stupid that they sell very potent cannabinoids to anyone over 18. Its way more potent than weed, making it so easy to experience one of these "overdoses." No matter how much weed you smoke it will never get like that. Its a shame.

I'm still soo high. I agree with what you said. I didn't even expect to be smoking a synthetic cannabinoid, but I forgot that chemists have hundreds of analogues to choose from. Anyone could just walk in, buy it, smoke it, and overdose, since there are no ingredients listed on the packet. What worries me is the reports of heart attacks, and death.

I find the high to be not nearly as good as weed. It feels artificial and lacking. When I was tripping, it just felt like my mind was scrambled like eggs. Very scary. This stuff can't be healthy.

i've smoked plenty of am-2201. It can get pretty intense sometimes but i really doubt you'll have a heart attack and/or die, thinking about that stuff would make me anxious. I only smoked the actual chemical am-2201 and it never lasted long so you should feel the effects wear off pretty soon.

I'm good now, though that sure put a dent in my night. I'm going to stop smoking the stuff due to lack of knowledge regarding its toxicity. Also, my throat and nasal passages are really irritated, hurting, and producing a lot of excess mucus.

iv seen alot of spices that have mixes of rcs on em which is even worse for a user not expecting somthing that intense.

i had a 500mg sample of powdered am2201 which blew so many people away off tiny amounts, very very potent compound. i enjoyed it esspecially along with some hash but in lower doses, to the not every-every day high grade cannabis smoker itd make them literally loop out off a tiny rip, theyd be just sitting there staring at walls looking very oblivious and heavily zoned out even scared this individual i felt bad but he wanted to try it badly and i was feeling generous.

i do agree am2201 has more of a artificial feel to it compared to cannabis, also the cotton mouth is the absolute worst dryer than a fuckin powder house. For me the high lasts any where from 45 minutes to 1 and a half hours, heard orally lasts longer but im not completly. when i eat a good meal the high goes away alot quicker for me.

i smoked 30mg in one session and was shitting/throwing up on the toilet slouched down like im heroin'd out not able to hold my body up catching some very synthetic visuals, nothing spectacular was just destroyed out of my mind high. i wont be smoking any more of those analouges not my bag, cool but not my bag.

i think its alot different than cannabis, much more risky. cannabis has never did me wrong to the extent of some am's i have got to try.

You're JUST learning about this now? In order to not know about synth weed by this point you'd have to be a hermit with no TV/radio/newspaper outlet or just totally oblivious.

Just a thought, it might be a good idea to do a bit of research on a drug you're taking into your body before taking it rather than afterwards ;)

^But with those blends, you don't have a clue what drug out of hundreds it could be...so research would be kinda difficult.

I actually meant research into the herbal blends as a whole. Otherwise I suspect the OP wouldn't have bothered with them in the first place, so you kind of reinforced the point I'm trying to make tbh.

I've heard about Spice and K2, I wasn't aware there were any other brands— I know the fault is on me for impulsively buying the blend without proper research. Friends of mine smoke Spice. And honestly, I don't really bother with the news much, nor do I really watch the television. Many shops in the area sell herbal blends without synthetic cannabinoids, so that is what I thought I was buying.

All the herbal blends sold at heads shops and such do in fact have cannabinoids in them. Probably what is confusing you is that most of them say things like "does not contain jwh-16..." or they might list off some other ones, but there are soooooo many out there. The reason these "blends" get you high is not because of the plant material, its the chemicals they spray on them.

There is no regulation of these blends, and no way to find out exactly what is in the blends. They can be down right dangerous, and yes very strong.

I suggest you check out our Synthetic Cannabinoids Mega Thread. And spend some time reading about experiences here in CD.

But this topic has been discussed at length here, so I'm closing this thread.
