Alternatives to metal Pipe Gauzes

Hi. At the moment I'm vaping Ethylphenidate through a small metal piipe. In most regards this is my favoured way of doing so, and I'd like to continue using suc ha pipe - however when the Eth catches fire, as it often does, it burns so hot that regardless of how much the pipe gauzes have been burned in advance, they also catch fire. So suddenly I'm inhaling molten/burning metal along with my hit. Which HAS to be a VERY BAD thing. So suggestions - anything else to put the stuff on near the top of the bowl, and prevent the granules falling before they get vapourised?

First off you are using the wrong kind of pipe.

Use some foil and a BIC pen body... It is much better...

This will allow you to not burn your drug and allow you to maximize the vapor...

Yeah. I've attmpted that. But I'm a clumsy basterd at the best of times. All that ends up happening when I attempt to smoke off foil is I end up with a cloud of cape, most of which I fail to take down, and a chunk of hot foil. In any case I've now discovered that much of the car crash that was yesterday was *less* due to the guazes, and more due to a taint of cleaning fluid I'd failed to rinse out of my pipe (yes, fucking disgusting, I know), thus meaning A) things were catching fire that shouldn't B) I wasn't getting much EPH, and worst of all C) I was getting smashed on solvent inhalation, *without* even knowing it, and was thus *too* smashed to notcice or work out why the it was having a completely different and far less pleasant effect, with only a hint of EPHiness, or to work out why physically it was suddenly getting reall hard to make the pipe work.

(And yes, I *do* realize how bad and awful this was)

If you can make a little spoon with the foil, try that.

It is the most easy for beginners in using foil...

This way you can create a little handle for better control.

This will allow you to build hand-eye coordination with the straw foil and lighter.

It shouldn’t be taking long to vaporize off foil to be getting that hot.

Invest in a meth pipe, way more efficient equally portable

Steel wire can be shaped into "pipe plugs" or spiral cones. A cheap source of steel wire is available in the form of twist-ties. Removing all the paper or plastic may require the use of fire.

It is unlikely that anything you can burn in your pipe with an ordinary cigarette lighter will get hot enough to melt steel (Or whatever metal alloy your gauze is composed of, ftm.)
