I have used Shazam for some years now, but recently it doesn't find most of the songs I want to know the name/artist so I can get it from somewhere. It only works for very specific genres, I guess the more popular or older ones.

Is there some alternative that might be a little more open-minded?

Does open minded, mean your...um....unique taste in music. I am in a good mood, and this was just too easy, so you'll get a pass

I just use Google. It does a pretty good job of finding stuff that's a little far from the norm. If you click on the microphone in the search bar, something comes up saying identify song. Click on that and it will listen to whatever. There's been a few times when it hasn't found anything but like I said it's usually pretty good.

I hardly use it. Pretty much just for song identification. I'm sure there are others to try as well. Different apps or websites that can id songs.

Just Google it ;)
