Cocaine ( also opiates). Anyone know about the guy that used his own dopamine to get off cocaine?

Listening to a neuroscientist on addiction and she mentioned a man that used cold plunges, super spicy foods and lots of other ways to make his brain start making more dopamine on its own to get him off cocaine without relapse on his own. I can't find anything on his particular story.. I have always thought why would people go to a peaceful, calming BORING rehab where your mind is obsessing for dopamine and for the drugs that it knows will get it fast and easy causing relapse when instead you should start re training your brain as soon as you're not physically sick anymore... Obviously Easier said then done but I'd love to find out more about this if anyone has any insight.

It can be done with coke but not with opiates where dopamine its not the problem as far as I know. I heard that very cold bath produce a dopamine rush that lasts 6hours slow release.
