Alprazolam Powder

What would be a good way to accurately dose pure alprazolam powder (no fillers, no binders) ?
I know about people using the tip of a wet toothpick to dose phenaz, but that is still a rough dose (1-3mg?)

but it only goes as low as 1mg, which means 1mg will be tough to get correct.
When i start looking at scales that measure below 1mg they start getting inSANELY expensive.

i have that same scale and it works rely well ! i personally wouldn't trust it with anything that requaries less than 30mg though. but thats just me.

when ever you weigh ANYTHING it is best to use a scale that weighs one unit below what you are trying to weigh for maximum accuracy.

so you would need a microgram scale. you can make a microgram balance at home very cheaply. just googel it.

The best way would be to dissolve a weighed amount in a measured volume of propylene glycol or similar, to give a known concentration, then use an oral syringe for liquid dosing. You're right, a mg scale isn't going to be accurate enough (although it would be perfect for weighing the starting amount) and using a toothpick is really unreliable..

Hmm. Is propylene glycol difficult to buy? I want to buy locally in person and not order off the internet. I see pharmacies sell it - would I get questioned if I asked to buy some? If so, what could I say? I'm making makeup? Would I have to get food grade propylene glycol?

Wow the homemade microgram scales are huge. Not an option for me. So far dissolving in propylene glycol looks the best. Is there a "standard" sort of guide for the how to or is it simply the math of how much powder to how much liquid, then shaking it before pulling up a dose? (all doses will be oral fyi)

Yeah thats about the size of it I imagine.
Also, can I use non-food grade propylene glycol if its cheaper or is food-grade a must?
I ask this because I see some available at feed stores (and I live in Texas) for use with livestock (animal grade). Would this type be safe for me to consume?

as long as your not IV'ing it i would assume animal grade would be ok. Although if theres only a couple droller difference go for the food grade.
