Benzos Alprazolam powder dose help

Greetings all,

I need to find a new approach to dosing my Alprazolam powder. I have recently just been using a "micron" scooper and scooping (who knows) how much powder and dosing it sublingually. This is retarded, I dose way to much, and always black out. This needs to end.

I want to make a solution of Alrazolam in Bacardi 151 ( 75.5% alc/vol). Most places i read say to use 90-95% alc/vol. but I dont have access to that.

1) Will the 151 that I have work?

2) what is the maximum concentration I can make. Ideally I'd like 8-10mg/mL, is this possible?

It is the only way to *safely* measure and dose pure Alprazolam powder. I do not intend on consuming alochol with benzos, other the the minute amout, depending on how concentrated i can get it. We are talking somewhere in the range of .25 - 1 mL of Alcohol. Not enough to even notice any effects.

An alternative would be to get a scale to weigh out the alprazolam powder, and then cut it with a known weight of an inactive ingredient to make it less potent.

Do you have an accurate milligram scale? If so then we can help you with the mathematics for the mixture do that you can have a good ratio to work with.

You can't ensure that's homogenously mixed though.

You should be able to get alprazolam into 75% alcohol at at least a few mg/ml. The water might inhibit the ethanol's ability to dissolve it effectively though. Try it with a small amount and see - maybe warm it up to ensure it dissolves.

Propylene glycol is another option. Or vegetable oil.
 
Use propylene glycol instead of 151.... Alcohol that concentrated + powder alprazolam = disasterous.

And consider using alprazolam tablets in the future. I've dealt with the pure bulk powder and it is so much more of a hastle to use than a Xanax bar. $0.02
 
I do have a MG scale, but it really isn't THAT accurate. It won't register much any anything less than 10mg, plus trying to deal with such small amount of powder is nearly impossible. I do have a high benzo tolerance, I usually dose 7-10mg xanax.

Currently I have been using an "micro scooper" which claim to be approx. 10mg in volume, but with the Alpraz. power, who really knows how much powder is in each scoop. It doesn't seem very safe, lol.

OKAY, so I will ditch the 151,

..Is propylene glycol harmful to ingest, ie. can I eat it?

Veg oil should work as a non polar solvent, i would imagine you can get pretty high concentrations dissolved too. Benzos are fat soluble, veg oil is a fat, 2+2=4.

Try it and see.
 
If you do end up using vegetable oils, stick with saturated ones like coconut & cocoa butter whenever possible, (or store them in a dark cool place) because eventually unsaturated oil goes rancid when exposed to air, heat, light.
 
I have finally got ahold of some propylene glycol. I have been googling for hours trying to find a solid answer for my questions.. So perhaps you guys could provide me with some input. :)

1) The maximum concentration of alprazolam that can be dissolved in 99.9% pure USP food grade propylene glycol? Ideally I would like 4mg/ml... possible?


2) How long will this "alprazolam solution" stay good ( shelf life ) , at room temperature, away from the light?

Alprazolam is a white to off-white crystalline powder, which is soluble in methanol or ethanol; sparingly soluble in acetone; freely soluble in chloroform; slightly soluble in ethyl acetate; freely soluble in dichloromethane but which has no appreciable solubility in water at physiological pH.

It should be soluble in PG to at least 20+ mg/ml. And it should stay good pretty much forever if stored in a dark cool place in a sealed bottle.
