Alprazolam dosing question

In my mind. The choices are many, the consequences
When I take my gabapentin I like to titrate the dose (take them about 30-45 mins apart each dosin). With alprazolam if I take my dose & don't feel anything or want a better rec dose/feeling can I take another dose in say 20-30 mins to add to it or does it make no difference really with benzos?

It actually works really well for me too, but I take it less than once a week. I've found tolerance with gabapentin goes up a lot quicker than tolerance to other depressants (like benzos for example).

Just so you know, benzodiazepine tolerance diminishes very slowly. The withdrawal is also supposedly worse than heroin an moderate-high doses. Not to mention that chronic use causes organic brain damage and panic disorder alike. I would seriously re-evaluate your use of this substance.

Panic is not new to me. I have terror attacks, to be honest. I don't use them rec often at all. 2 x's a wk, MAYBE. My tolerance was ridiculous, up to 10 bars & I still remembered everything. That was after 4 & 1/2 yrs of alprazolam & diazepam use, both rec & medically. And I was rx'd 2 mgs 3 times a day of alprazolam & 10 mgs diazepam at bed. I was pulled off them after all that time cold turkey & by blessings I had no wd. I know I've heard it's terrible. Unfortunately these terrible attacks are back after being off them since Aug '12. So I'm rx'd them once again.

Yeah, NT, I use gaba rarely now rec bc I too heard tolerance is almost instantaneous. Im about to be tapered to Lyrica bc I've been on the gaba for 5 yrs & they're starting to fail for their purpose...diabetic neuropathy.
