Benzos alprazolam and alcohol?

I was drunk last night. We decided to trip on 2cb the last hours. Im still tripping, but I took 1mg of xanax. Is it safe to sleep now, or could the xanax in combination with the alcohol cause my breathing to stop?
 
i think you'll be fine, i've taken 4mg+ xanax, drank, passed out, and i was fine when i woke up
 
Haha you sure? Theres a lot of alcohol in my blood left, and after this 1mg xanax im a little afraid to got to sleep.

Also I have NO tolerancd to bezos

My last alcohol drink was 5 hours ago. But I was VERY drunk at the time
so I will stay awake untill someone can ascertain me i wont go into resporatory depression when sleeping

You might of been fine, someone else would be far from fine.
The OP acknowledges that your advice is bad, so I need not say anymore except please think before you post. (or maybe you think too long eg. 7 posts in 2 years - how long were you "passed out" for?) - Rhetorical question.

xyz9876 it seems that you are aware and lucid enough due to your response, if you are still tripping though, why do you want to sleep?
If it's because you've had enough and want it to end that badly then I can't see much harm in taking the alprazolam, but maybe take ½mg just to be safe and see how your breathing responds before taking the other ½mg.

It's been 5 hours since your post so let us know if you are ok.
 
well, dude, it depends on alot of factor which i do not know.

You SHOULD be fine sleeping drunk and on 1mg alprazolam...idk what 2-cb is (call me old fashioned, i like real drugs, and FDA approved) so it could interact also.
 
Like Lettuce said, when it comes to mixing alcohol and benzos, sometimes it's fine and nothing happens... other times something does happen. That is why it is not recommended to mix two CNS depressants in the form on benzos and booze. People who have done the combination many times before without incident can all the sudden have a big problem on a random night. You don't know if this time it's going to be okay or not.

That being said.. chances are you'll be fine, but nobody is going to be able to tell you for sure. Best not to mix alcohol with benzos again in the future.. you'll avoid this problem entirely..
 
don't mix benzos and alcohol. it's a recipe for seizure. especially since you took a phen. too much chemicals racing around in your brain.

a few years back i took a hit of sunshine around 11AM one day and that night i went to a party around 10PM. i was a heavy drinker at the time and also a benzo user. i took a xanax bar and was drinking and talking to one of my friends outside at the party and from what he told me, i was completely ambulatory one moment and next my eyes rolled up into my head mid-sentence and i fell down, rolled down the steep hill in the house's front yard, and had a seizure in the street for about 20 seconds. bad bad bad.

To back this up, a kid who was a friend of my friend in college overdosed at a party after taking ONE single Percocet after having a few drinks...it was fucking horrible (he wasn't even 20). Then again I've mixed far more dangerous and potent CNS depressants and I'm still alive-though the few times I OD'd it was from mixing opiates with benzo's. basically you just never know.

i agree with everyone here mostly

alprazolam isnt that recreational IMO, and combining benzos and booze is risky business, even if you have a tolerance...
 
Thanks for the response guys! Yes it was a very dumb move rom my side. I usually research all my combos very well. But after I was done tripping I wanted to sleep quickly as it was already 8-9 AM. My last drink was at 4 AM, and was really drunk. We snorted small 4mg 2c-b lines with 10 minute intervals until we were on the right level.
Because I was afraid of an OD, I waited until approx half past 11 (so 7,5 hours after last drink) until I went to sleep. I have high alcohol tolerance, so quite a lot of alcohol dehydrogenase in my liver, so after this time, all alcohol should have been removed from my body.
