I've read this only slightly crosses the blood brain barrier. Does it have any activity at all?
 
It's in TIHKAL, oh no sorry thats another term for 5-MeO-aMT

Well the 5-HO is apparently too polar so it would be broken down very fast, maybe you get a flushing effect. If this would be active I suspect you would need to smoke it like bufotenin. Considering the similarity to 5-MeO-aMT personally I would not attempt this.

since the 5-ho is further away from the nitrogen than the 4-ho of psilocin, it is not expected to form an internal salt and pass the blood-brain barrier. so "weak" probably means it causes uncomfortable peripheral effects long before anything good happens. Probably very dangerous to overdose on or combine with anything that also releases monoamines.
