Ok so I'm at the point of my taper where I'm taking .25mg a day from my starting dose of 1mg. I have two main questions. First, my plan was to go to .125mg then stop taking klonopin after that. What I'm beginning to hear is that maybe I should have like two days off, then take .125mg, just to keep it coming out slow and steady as compared to dropping straight off, even though it's only .125mg. My second question is when would I be able to safely take it again without having to worry about dependecy issues again? I dont want to take it daily but it would still be nice to take it as needed on occasion.

P.S. I take Valerian root daily too just to ease the symptoms a little bit. Does anyone think this will be problematic?

If you still have clonazepam to spare, then sure, take a day or two in between taking 0.125mg doses. I find it unlikely that you would experience significant withdrawal symptoms going from .125 straight to zero, but you might, so what you suggested is probably the better course of action.

You can safely take it again; tolerance builds with regular use. Whether or not you will run into dependency issues depends on how often "as needed" exactly is. If you don't go back to using it regularly, dependance won't be a problem.

How long have you been using clonopin for at 1mg? It's hard to give an opinion without knowing. Benzo withdrawal is hell, I suffered pretty badly coming off a relatively low dose of Valium with a long taper, I'd been using for about 6 months and tapered over 1 month and jumped off at .25mg. Don't use benzos again for as long as possible, I made the mistake of thinking I was in the clear about 6 weeks after withdrawal and binged on vals over a few days and was thrown back into bad withdrawal, no fun. Now I've been clean for 6+ months and can safely use them again provided I don't go overboard.

I can't really identify your question. Why would you quit only to decompensate and take clonazepam again. If you choose to quit, then I applaud you. Don't regress by taking clonazepam again after cessation as full recovery from benzodiazepine withdrawal may take months or sometimes years.

Your taper is sound, you should be able to jump off .125 milligrams once you feel comfortable.

I was about to ask this too. (how long op has been using klonopin) If you're down to .25 mg stay at that. Only start taking it every other day. This is how my GP recommended a taper. If you start to feel uncomfortable or sick, ask your doctor.

I would just cut it clean now if you don't want to risk ever going through another taper. Just question whether you really need it in the first place
