Hey everyone,

So straight out of high school I jumped into community college and started chipping away at my GE full time, and working four days a week as a server and it worked really well. Two years later i'm reaching the end of my general education classes and I'm still having problems finding a major. I've changed my major about four times (audio engineering, botany, legal studies, political science, and now i'm looking into athletic training, but I honestly still just don't know). I see a lot of people post about wanting to get into chemistry because they're really interested in psychedelics and I have to say that I really agree with them. I think being able to produce my own psychedelics would be really great, but more then that I think finding a completely new psych would be even more mind blowing.

Kind of a tangent there, but back to the post. In high school I was really good with a camera and enjoyed photography. When I started looking at majors everyone told me to do what I love, but then I started to factor in money and how much I could realistically make and it kind of took over my thought process. Long story short, now I feel like I don't know what I want to do.

-If I was going to go into a field where I could make my own psyches what would my route be?

-What are some good careers that I could base around photography and would I be able to be financially independent?

-If you have any suggestions please throw them in here cause I need all the help I can get!

Thanks everyone,

I don't know anything about photography so I can't help you there.

The best advice I can think of is recommending that you see a career counselor at your university. It's free and you can sit there and tell them all the things you told us (except maybe the part about psychadelics ;)) and they can help you choose a major.

Don't expect them to tell you what to do, though. Their job is to show you what options you have, it is still up to you to make your own decisions.

Hey Jerry,

I'll definitely get into the career counselor's office and see what the next step is. Hahaha, well let's see, I like working with people, I like animals, thoroughly enjoy dropping acid and experimenting with various psychedelics, lmao. That would be ridiculous =D.

Thanks Jerry,

If you want to look into new psychedelics, u would probably be needing to go to school and get a Ph.D. in pharmocology. Even creating your own psychedelics you would need to get at least a bachelor's in some type of chemistry or organic chemistry. That or you can find someone who manufactures psychedelics and become their apprentice..
