So two days ago I consumed 750 mg of pregablin, I was feeling good. About 12hours later I started drinking. I woke up in the hospital with no idea how I got there.. I apparently stopped breathing and whatnot. So how did this happen? I mix a lot of benzos with booze but have never nad this happen

This is a question a lot of drug users end up asking after mixing large amounts of depressants. How did it happen? But the answer is in the question, because you mixed large amounts of depressants. Mixing benzos and alcohol isn't a good idea. Think you lack understanding of what these types of drugs do when combined together. Maybe you should look it up. Lots of good information here. Most the people I've known who've passed from drugs where from combining benzos and alcohol, after heroin that is. Taking a bunch of drugs that cause respiratory depression is not smart and can cause respiratory failure. Hope you learned something from this.

^pregabalin isn't a benzo, but still a valid post!

you mixed two synergistic CNS depressants, that's why you ended up in the hospital. mixing lyrica and alcohol is like feeding a fire with gasoline, when these two specific drugs are combined, they exponentially increase each other's sedative and depressing qualities. its not like 1+1=2, in this situation, 1+1=5

I know, I was talking about him saying he drinks and takes benzos all the time;) Pregabalin also cause respiratory depression.

I assume what you mean is why did pregabalin + alcohol land you in the hospital while benzos + alcohol didn't?

Just because you have taken benzos with booze before and didn't end up in the hospital then doesn't mean it should be surprising that you overdosed from taking 750 mg of pregabalin with alcohol. 750mg is a lot of pregabalin, I have no idea what your tolerance to it is, and maybe you drank a lot of alcohol. There are so many factors that can affect whether or not you will overdose on a combination of CNS depressants: luck, which ones they are, your tolerance to each, the quantity of each, your metabolism, whether or not you have eaten, other health issues, and so on and so on. Please be more careful in the future. And don't assume that just because you haven't died or been hospitalized yet from taking benzos with alcohol means it can't happen. Mixing CNS depressants is extremely dangerous, especially when you don't have a high tolerance to at least one of them. I'm glad you're ok! :)

Lol after asking my friends what happened they said I drank an entire 26 to myself. I understand now. Funny story, while blacked out I tried to convince everybody I got shot, waterlined invisible bth and smoked invisible meth out of my invisible pipe while making my friend light it while I rocked the puddle. Then I drank two full glasses of vodka (water lol). My blackout caused my subconcious run rampid. And from what I did apparently my subconcious mind is a biker?
