Science Almost all near-death experiences have these visions in common — study

Very possible, even though you were joking. NOT saying P.O. has brain damage at all! Just saying that I had a seizure that lasted for longer than 6 minutes (you stop breathing during a seizure) so obviously I developed hypoxia and I do have moderate damage to the part of the brain that effects things like short and intermediate term memory and word recall. It affects my writing/typing as well as talking so you might notice I will accidentally replace a word with a similar word in a sentence that doesn't make sense. Or do rhymes accidentally, like writing "Lets nets" instead of "lets not".

Yes, definitely meant 'tongue in cheek'. I myself suffered a particularly nasty overdose where my heart stopped twice and I had to be revived. Unfortunately, I was unable to remember any resulting hallucinatory NDE, but was warned there could be possible brain damage as a result of hypoxia. Luckily, I've noticed nothing other than a more resolute scepticism over matters such as these.

there's been a few times where I woke up after doing a shot with localised paralysis, one time my legs straight did not work for a whole day; it always healed up within a few days to a week though

I've read about cases of "overdose amnesia" and it's likely to be the same thing, short term hypoxic damage. you need to use the part of the brain that was affected as much as possible so that it can be "fixed" via neuroplasticity

I have additional damage due to alcohol withdrawal (which ALWAYS causes some brain damage and was also the cause of the seizure). I've been told it won't get better but won't get worse on it's own either. I think taking meds like Quetiapine and Xanax won't have helped.

UFOs are experimental military aircraft, or some were the prototypes of drones.

Given how vast the universe is humans are not the only intelligent life, and Earth is not the only planet with life in it.

Now would aliens want to visit earth or abduct humans? Probably not. 👽

Maybe so but when I see them I'm still gonna hold up my illuminated sign that says PROBE ME, BABY!

No there isn't. I remember one doctor put a sign up on the ceiling to test this - noone who had a NDE could ever say what it said.
All this proves is that nobody had an out of body experience in his office or surgery area. Or maybe they did but nobody could read his handwriting? 😂

Do you want aliens, or medical doctors to probe your asshole or examine you the old fashioned way from the rectum on up? 😜😍👽

*shrugs* I'm not fussy whatsoever!

Although even space aliens now have me on their "no probe" list :(
And medical doctors refuse to examine me rectally in any way since the money they have lost due to various medical tools going missing up there exceeded $300.
$10,300 if you count that nice doctors Rolex.

I had an OBE when I was 14. Seemingly for no reason.
I was in science class and sitting next to a female friend (JUST friend, no other chemistry there*) and suddenly I floated up out of my body and above us and looked down and saw myself put an arm over her shoulder and kiss her. I immediately was back in my body and apologized and explained what had happened. Fortunately, she was really nice about it and she's the one who explained that I'd had an OBE.

*unfortunate choice of words or terrible science pun? YOU decide.

I wrote it before I realized what I'd written so went back and added the apology lol. It actually WAS just an unfortunate pairing of words.

I had a lot of serious spaced out times as a teen. I was very traumatized at 13 and I used to experience brief, transient catatonia (for anywhere from 30 seconds to 3 minutes at a time). I'd often "come to" to find a teacher shouting some command in my face that I had been "ignoring" for like 2 minutes straight. But that was totally different to the OBE.

Were you on PCP? I had a friend in high school who thought he had smoked opium and had an out of body experience but I told him how opiates do not do this and he had smoked PCP or wet or dust as it was very common in the city I grew up in. I never used it or any disassociative drugs but many people who I grew up with had tried it. Only one guy was a real dust head and you could tell he had used too much of it as he was a bit off. Nobody, not even the dust head went crazy or got violent and attacked anyone.

Noo, no. This was 3 years before I ever touched a drug (I think I had literally taken Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, Imodium, Hayfever Meds and Antibiotics before and nothing else, never even prescribed codeine or anything). I'd never had drugs or alcohol at that point.

Were you diagnosed with any medical issues?

I once smoked so much high quality Indica Afghan herb when I was 19 or 20 in my friend's car before anthropology class in university. My friend had a large tolerance but I did not since I would only smoke maybe once or twice a month in low amounts when I was not busy working or in classes. I smoked probably 15-20+ hits from a hand blown glass pipe I had and had trouble walking when my friend parked the car. I got nervous since I was worried someone like the professor or lectuerer would call the police since I am sure we reaked of pot. A friend asked me for paper and I completely spaced out and five minutes later they reminded me again and I gave them the paper for notes on the lecture.

No, no medical issue either. There was no explanation for it.

You sound like a sex pig! 😍 Would you bottom or be passiv for a woman with her hand or a dildo?

Didn't say it doesn't exist, just that it's not at all common, especially amongst high school students.
Ok it was and still is common in parts of the USA, and in Canada as well.

That's probably why you're all fucked in the head...
The United States and Canada have very large populations and most people in both countries do not use drugs and most have never used PCP.

I am a Gen Xer and PCP has been around and used since the late 1960s and for sure all through the 1970s with peak popularity in the early and mid-1970s when it was used by the baby boomers born in the mid 1940s through early 1960s. I am not sure if teens today use it but I am sure some do?
