Almost all drug subcultures are accepting of gay people. Anyone else notice that?

What's so wrong with NBOME'S?

Super cheap, not as strong as acid, and tolerance builds... But perfect for a binge every now and then. I noticed no ill effects except for enjoyment.

I wish we had VBOME's, 5c-Ps, M78D's, AK472C-I's....etc...

As usually there is nothing wrong with the drugs, the problem is the people who can't handle them. I love my ultra potent drugs, less material to put up my nose.

Thousands have tried a NBOME drug (knowingly or not) since they came out. With a low number of known hospitalizations and even lower number of fatalities in comparison. Impressive considering how potent these drugs are.

Take a random sampling of [any rec drug] on any given night... same sample size.. and I think u'd find the same, or much worse, problems.

That's what I don't like about the fear of these new rationally designed drugs. I wish we had like a personal experimentation license you could get apply for.. prove ur aptitude.. make it out of reach for dumb teenagers, and in reach for the psychonaughts..

Once you start using ilegal drugs you start to question the lies your parents and other authority figures told you as part of their "War on drugs'. After a while you start to question other social idea like homophobia and not being allowed to eat chocolate cake and drink beer for breakfast. Soon your life descends into a never ending spiral of cock sucking and drunken explanations to your boss as to why you have chocolate finger prints all over this months report.

yeah but as a rule, gay people aren't the problem as it's the other crowds that abuse them or treat them poorly...

Minus the Bears.... (ohhh shit double reference!)
We have a tax you can pay to fix that

The main problem with nbomes is the potency is very high and allot of teenagers and even adults are very ignorant when it come to taking drugs thanks to programs like dare and drug free america. They will takes lines many times greater than a safe dose just like allot of retards. It also doesn't help that most of the people selling it aren't much smarter. The 2cs had a far greater safety profile and only a handful of deaths yet now the nbomes took their place since they were banned .

actually, if i was forced to become a biker... i wouldn't mind hanging with some Bears as long as I wasn't raped. On TV at least they seem reg bikers except more funny and friendly...

less potent than LSD... *helpless shrug*

Yeah but you can take twice as much of a normal dose of LSD and not die. So you know, there's that.

IMO though it can be hard to find people to get high with, especially hard drugs. Leaves less room to be picky lol, and let's face it.. the majority of gay people are really fucking friendly.

Friendly AND clever.... my theory is they tend to develop charming personalities as a defense mechanism growing up against bullying.

Or maybe I just find women charming and guys acting effeminate cross mixes some wires confusing my brain at first...

Edit: how low a dose has someone died from a nbome

My god, children- know your HISTORY! Drug users and Gays (as well as Transsexuals) have traditionally been friendly BECAUSE HOMOSEXUALITY WAS ILLEGAL in MOST countries until the 1980s!

In the days when Vice Squad cops would go 'Queer Baiting', dressing up as fags and trying to pull at the gay bars it was only natural that alliances, typically between gay bar management and dealers who sold out of the bar, developed to deal with police harassment. Drug users and homosexuals were really in the same boat until the gay liberation movement got going in the '70s.

Shit, read Howl or something. And I'm not even gay! I'm not even fake Gay! But homosexuality was ILLEGAL in New Zealand until 1980 and the guys and gals who were out and proud during the queer baiting and all that bullshit were legendary and I knew & still know a bunch of them.

One of those transsexual junkie hookers even ended up an MP, who oversaw the legalisation of prostitution in New Zealand:

Drug users are more accepting of everybody. Unless we disagree on which drug to use. Then we hate each other.

Haha, this is exactly what I was going to say.
Yeah, I think people in the drug community seem to be more accepting of people in general. More open minded.

My 'drug subculture' basically consists of me and only me now days. But when it eventually got out that I was gay in 12th grade everything was the same as before. Only then they knew about it. All my friends were stoners, so yeah they were generally accepting of it.

And surprisingly, I NEVER had anyone say anything negative about my sexuality to me in highschool. Never got harassed or anything. I know that people would say things behind my back, but no one ever said anything about it to me. Which seems sorta atypical... people would shout stuff like "HEY FAG" sometimes in the halls and such at the one flamer kid in our school. I'm pretty sure the whole 'wearing your sexuality strongly on the outside' thing was a significant factor. You'd never know I was gay unless you were told... some people even wouldn't believe me when I told em heh.

I don't even know if the hippie jam band scene is really going anymore, but they were not so gay-friendly. Other than that, doing (especially scoring) drugs can lead you to hang out with all sorts of people you never would have before.

It's going partially mainstream now if anything. Tickets are selling...

Don't forget where they brought back Tupac to life.....

As for the jam band scene being not gay friendly... can't say I ever saw anything anti-gay happen at a show; but some shows u'll get a lot of coke heads here in the NE.

Homophobic may be too strong a term for it, more of an unspoken attitude. I noticed surprisingly few gays at the Widespread Panic and Phish shows that I attended, unlike the rave scene where being gay seemed highly acceptable.

I've met some hippy-ish gay dudes, into the dead, phish, etc..go to shows. They looked just like reg hippies tbh.

I think the whole not washing all the time, wearing flip-flops..unkempt hair... makes them blend in. Maybe better color coordinated...

I think its probably a combination of people who are willing to try drugs are probably a bit more open in the first place, and then the drugs open the mind further and lead to more questioning of what we were taught growing up

Perhaps it is because most gays have great taste in music?
