I have been on pain management 2 1/2 yrs and always as prescribed never more. Sometimes less. In last few months started heavy vitamin retinue trying to deal with underlying conditons. I have fibromyalgia, peripheral neuropathy, TBI, rotator cuf injury and sometimes migraines. So a number of issues being managed. I am intolerant to ssri meds so was not a solution for me. gluten free no help. Have had nerve blocks, trigger point, and was precribed 15 mg oxycodone 3-4 times a day.

during last two weeks have had serious allergic reactions to oxycodone. I had decreased dose to 7.5 mg and 2-3 times a day. Today pain mgmt said to stop the meds and retry a week from now to see if it is caused by vitamins ( that have stopped entirely for 2 weeks already), or if I have become allergic to the meds otherwise.

How long can I expect to feel not right during this detox of the meds? Has anyone heard of anything like this happening? Thank you

hi - welcome to bluelight.

Support is only for issues relating to the site, so i'm gonna move this to the appropriate forum (Other Drugs) where i hope you can get some advice. good luck. :)

you will feel bad detoxing for a day or two, and shouldn't be serious at the dose you are at. Just drink lots of water, get some clonidine, some sleep meds, and something to take your mind off it.
