Allergies and LSD

I have a serious question which I have yet to find a definitive answer for.

Is it possible to be allergic to LSD?
I ask this because, about a month ago, I tripped for my first time on (what my friend was 99% certain was) LSD. The next morning, I woke up covered in extremely itchy red patches.
LSD had been something I'd been looking forward to for YEARS to come, and I'd honestly be a bit devastated to find out that I'm unable to experience it like anyone else can.

The day after the trip, I began to look up whether or not is was possible to be allergic to LSD, and have found many, many mixed results.
My doctor prescribed a hard-steroid regime and the patches were cleared up within a week and a half.
I should also mention that I took xanax about 6-7 hours after I started the initial trip, merely to make interacting with people easier.
I would love to experience another trip, but I'm worried about what could happen without knowing for certain whether it's safe for me.

So, is it possible that there was something else on the blotter that I was allergic to?
Or maybe the mixing of the LSD and xanax did something funny?
I've never had any kind of allergic reaction before, so any input is welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks

There are to many possible explanations for what you describe to conclude it must be an allergic reaction to LSD. It could just as easily be a reaction to something you ate, to the paint on the blotter, to impurities alongside the LSD, or maybe it wasn't LSD at all. I personally have never heard of such a reaction to LSD, but it's impossible to be sure.

Honestly, you could have just slept on your side/dust irritation/skin dehydrated that caused the irritation, never heard of someone being allergic to it because the dosages required are in microgram amounts, not sure where your itchy patches were but really I wouldn't be stressing about it too bad, if you really did have a reaction it would have made the whole trip terrible or at least somewhat noticeable surely?

Don't stress. :)

It's unlikely it was the LSD that caused the reaction. Normally to develop an allergy to something you have to be exposed to it multiple times, it wouldn't happen on the very first exposure (according to my doctor).

have you taken xanax before with no reactions? was there something unusual about where you slept like different type of bedding, or the soap used to wash them, or maybe bed bugs?

I have mild eczema, and I notice when I do trip I get really itchy and some redness without fail. Only on L

Thank you everyone, for your input.

The general consensus seems to be that it wasn't the LSD in-and-of-itself.
This is what I had originally assumed, but I figured it couldn't hurt to get some more opinions.

I have, in past years. It was prescribed to me for mild panic attacks while in my first-third years of high school, where I'm now in my third year of college. I've never had any sort of reaction to them previously, but I figured maybe it was possible that it potentially reacted with something possibly on the blotter.
As far as sleeping oddly goes, I couldn't say for certain how I was sleeping being that the incident was almost a month ago.
I can, however, say that I have slept on the same bed, with the same sheets, with the same mattress, and the same pillow since then -- all of them only just having been washed a week or two ago and maybe two months prior to that.

I think I may consider it again sometime in my future, making sure to take note of whether or not this reaction occurs again.

Thanks again, everyone. That was my very first post, and I gotta say, it's nice to get real input and advice. Instead of just the typical propaganda/D.A.R.E. related stuff.

It's possible the rash you're describing is actually something self inflicted from when you were tripping. Perhaps you were in the woods or something like that and ran your arm across some poison oak? Not saying that is what happened but you wouldn't be the first. Also if it happened to actually be an NBOMe I've had them cause things of that nature to skin before, I always assumed it was due to vasoconstriction because 25d had this effect the worst and the worst vasoconstriction.
