okay so id always heard the various truisms/myths revolving around women and the time of the month and thought i had experienced the range of what it had to offer. perhaps it was blind luck with previous girls, but i never particularly noticed anything beyond messy sex and/or slight moodiness for a couple days

i clearly had no clue.. because now it dominates us. it was novel to begin with, but it really isnt anymore

i can set a watch to the cycles, which are;

1st-8th.. extremely emotional, always on verge of tears, talking in absolutes, jealous, ultimatums, cut nose to spite face, etc

8-16th.. cheerful, happy-go-lucky, funny, sweet, lovely company, wants to cuddle all day

16-24th.. always horny, sensual, initiates sex, fiery if we're arguing, high energy, hardworking

24-30th.. distant, at times so-cold-it-scares-me, cynical, numb

we swing from breaking up to total bliss.. no happy medium. she's 22, is it normal? can it be helped? will it always be like this?

sigh.

Seems a bit excessive. As fairnymph mentioned, something like the pill could explain such huge mood swings. That being said, I do have my week every month where I'll probably try to chop your head off and then proceed to killing myself if you so much at look at me the wrong way. But, you know. It only lasts a few days ;)

Seriously though, I hope you (and any man reading this) don't blame her for it. Much as it might suck for you, trust me (and the entire female population), it's worse for her.

Not quite the entire female population. My partner has never had that PMT shit. Maybe she's a bloke, I dunno, I'm not sexist, don't notice shit like that.

Been through the BHM experience. Wouldn't wish it on anyone. Not even BHM.

haha she'd shit if she knew id told all this. i guess i should be flattered she's comfortable enough to be moody around me, shy/geeky/sweet with everyone else bar family

yes she's on the pill, but not (strictly) for birthcontrol. i mean obviously it helps avoid the screamy, little people but she's been on the pill for medical reasons for a long time now

we think she's a bit manic depressive, or to use the americanism she prefers.. bipolar. but the fact that its so regular seems to me to point largely to the hormonal aspect. but really, i have no idea.. this is about the only medicine-pertaining subject that i dont pick her brains on, not wanting to make her worry or whatever

anyone know of foodstuffs that may help? more info on the oil would also be helpful

and so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past

wow, theres no way i could ever choose just one quote. choosing even one wilde quote would be akin to pulling teeth, or picking a favourite beatles song

however, back on topic.. im so ignorant about this, changing the type of pill may help? i had no clue they differed

Wow. Well done BHM, you have systematically worked out the entire female race in one lacklustre internet thread.

Now do it standing on one foot, in the rain, wearing your stained underpants.

Ill def belive you then.

what a fucking twat you are urbain, if im going to listen to any arguments on feminist issues itll be from someone like shm, who at least has a clue what he's talking about, i appreciate you are frustrated at still being largely anonymous in and around eadd, but pick your battles son, youve just made yourself look a petty twat by bringing that in here. i obviously did a good job of pissing you off all them weeks ago - which pleases me greatly btw - heres a suggestion, put me on ignore, unless.. like most of the jealous minor-members, you secretly enjoy trailing in my wake <3

Learn how to cook, she will appreciate it, and you can start putting lithium in her dinner.

lol spiking with lithium and such sounds all very plausible, but firstly i cant cook for shit, i go round her moms for food that hasnt had its nutrients microwaved into oblivion. secondly, she mixes with consultant doctors daily.. im totally in her house when it comes to medicine. lastly, hard as it may be for you lot to believe.. im not the type to spike anyone with anything. had a friend who once gave a loudmouth a fat line of what he thought was coke... but was actually ket - and though it was funny as fuck, i wouldnt personally have done it

i was thinking more of healthy, natural, new age/old wives' remedies and what not

I think omega oils are reportedly good for mood disorders. They even tried it on schizophrenics with positive results. Get her eating lots of salmon, mackrel, tuna and what not - it's dead easy to cook as well so you've not much to learn.

The pill made me mental, i tried 10 different one and eventually I got the copper coil which means no intake of hormones, i don't have to remember to take anything everyday and it lasts for 10 years. I think every women should get one.
Also, not taking hormones everyday negates the health implications of doing so.
Win win.

agree agree agree

In China all young women (who want contraception) have this as standard. The west prefers to pump our ladies full of artificial hormones. Young women here don't even fleetingly think of it as an option.

They'll catch on, in time. We're just ahead of the crowd gayorstraight :)

The problem is there are myths still existing from when the coil was first invented, it was massive, insertion and removal was painful and could only really be fitted to women who had had kids. Thats all changed now but the myths persist even amongst more old school GPs. The government should do a big PR job on it for all our sakes but I guess they need to stay in the back pocket of the drugs companies.
