All "xtc" type chems>>>drug testing results similar to meds?

I think i pretty much know the answer, but would like input. Will prob be a short thread. I know when they do the standard 5 panel drug test they test for amphetamines. So is this the only substance that comes up if you have x in your system, say from the night before? Is there an MDMA specific test? (granted MDMA is the only substance in the "X") Does anyone know if there is a test for the actual chem 3,4-methylenedioxy-N-methylamphetamine MDMA? Or MDA for that matter. Or would they just see a positive for amp?


Here's why I'm asking, I currently take Concerta (Methylphenidate)--same as Ritalin. AND Adderall (combination of dextroamphetamine and amphetamine).


So.....being that i take "Methylphenidate and Amphetamine", if i were to take "3,4-methylenedioxy-N-methylamphetamine"---would they know i was taking something other than my prescribed meds?


Same question for MDA (3,4-Methylenedioxyamphetamine).


Any enlightening thoughts or info welcome.
 
The 5-panel comes up as positive and generally doesn't differentiate among the amphetamines. However, if this is for probation or a serious job, then what they will likely do when that initial screen comes up positive, is have a lab GC/MS the sample, and from that they can tell precisely what the substance is.

I have been taking these meds for some time. Before i started taking them i would get tested regularly because i was full time, however, since i have been taking them i have been "part-time" so i have not been present for any tests. I was just wondering in general. i will be going full time again shortly and expect to get tested as before. I will continue to take the meds daily so am sure i will come up positive for amp.

Just wasn't sure if i need to show them my prescription bottles or what as to not get any flack or have them freak out, since i do legally take amphetamines.

Anybody else take amp legally? what is your process to let employer know? Give Human Resource a heads up? Or just let them know at the time of pissing?

And of course was pondering the mdma testing as well since all substances seamed pretty close. If i happened to let loose, i would ensure myself the proper time away from work to clean out so i don't have to worry. I was still curious about it~more of a curiosity question than a major concern.

You don't have to let your employer know in advance. If the samples get sent off to a lab, and it comes up positive, the lab will check with you and if you tell them you have a prescription, then they verify it through the pharmacy/pharmacist and if you are really prescribed the medication, then your employer is told it was a negative result. If they do it in-house in some way, then I have no idea what they do :P
