I'm not too fond of wearing 'candy' myself actually if the truth be known.
Here's a funny thought that Johnboy and I debated on; what if we all go dressed as our bluelight 'characters'...ie; Anjele > wings and a halo. Some of the nicks are pretty self explanatory (Mr.Klownz~HUGZ!) but some are a little more obsure and will need some imagination. But anyone willing to be creative should be spotted!
Something *will* be done to attract bluelighters to the area!

I am sorry, but someone has to do it. I am gonna get flamed, most likely get kicked off the board and banished for eternity, but am I the only one that thinks two-tribes is an overcommercialised waste of time and money?
Seriously, $65!!!!!! to start off with, not that many fantastic names compared with some other parties (I admit there are a couple that I would like to see)
It was advertised on TV for christ sake!!!! imagine the crowds: Hardware bring everydifferent style of musik into the one place, creating a haven for everytype of person imaginable. These people on there own are cool, but brought together it will be mayhem. It will be crowded and yuk and unless you have some SWEET drugs, then I gotta say it wont be much chop. I went to the last 2 tribes and I hated it. Just my opinion. I tried to stay away but I cant help myself. Everypicture will be much better. Seriously ravers, there are better raves in the sea.

ahem..well..umm..actually Horse, I agree with you 100%....there are probably a million better raves out there. And I hate the Docks too...too crowded and too many children and no creature comforts like you get at smaller venues, BUT.....
...I just don't think you're likely to see this high-a-quality lineup again in the next 5 years in Melbourne...unless you detest all type of House and Trance, there is something for everyone here and most of them are legendary names...even the lesser known hold interest, just to see what they do (Sister Bliss' set, for example)...

a line up that would *NEVER* happen in sydney. we just don't have the house/trance scene to support something like that.
i came down to melbourne and went to universe 99 and was blown away. you should see the parties in sydney, we don't have any of the props that you have (only at rare parties.. full circle, happy valley etc..)
you guys do your parties right!
and you have a scene with more promoter reputation than us, that alone is faith enough for me to come down and party at 2tribes.

i gotta say i totally agree with the point you're making Horsie, but I amongst others has never been phased by a crowd. I've always:
-found another spot to dance
-found another room to dance
-completely blocked it all out and went off like a frog in a sock(hmmmmm.......bad assimily.......hmmmmmm....bad spelling)
To get to the point, i'm over arguing the pros and cons of commercial and underground parties.......sometimes you've just got to accept.

(altho imho a party is what you make it, and dont get all precious about the scene ok? its just a gig, an expensive one sure, but so was BDO and hell its not like we are paying 250 bucks to see Barbara Streisand *shiver*)
