my friend gave me this advice a long time ago.

when you get the urge to go, head to the bathroom.

proceed as usual, but if it feels like you MUST piss but you cant make anything happen, start counting up in 'odd' numbers

1,3,5,7,9,11 and so on. something about the way it makes your brain work does the trick.. on the worst of occasions i've only had to get up to 70 or so and thats coming from a person with a REALLY shy bladder even when sober.

give it a shot.

it has worked for me on all substances that give this side effect - adderall/amphetamines/methamphetamines, mdma, LSD, and opiates.

thanks for that, i was tired of counting the tiles in the bathroom floor, I have that shit memorized, lol

ive been avoiding opiates for like the past 6 months because my girlfriend has successfully kicked a 10-12 vicodin ES a day habit and is now down to less than a 8mg suboxone every 2 days even with legitimate chronic back pain (scoliosis)

opiates were never my favorite anyway.

opiates are the only drug that ever gave me constipation.

this thread is about #1 for men not #2 anyway.

my advice for problems making boom boom : avoid opiates.

if you find yourself counting too high up in 'odd' numbers try counting only prime numbers ... 1, 3, 7, 11, 13, 17, etc.

let me know if this actually works for anyone other than me, or if its something my brain just likes to rely on in the shittiest of pissers.

Got up to 853 last time. Damn opiates:).

IME running some cold water from the sink over your dick for about a minute really helps.

Sitting down to piss may also help.

It's a pain in the ass with opiates, especially if you're drinking alcohol which is a diuretic.

Thats exactly what i do , highly recommended!

I always found sitting down works great. Its like as soon as you relax your leg muscles it flows much easier. Maybe you can't piss while standing cause your brain thinks you'll nod out and piss on yourself?

i only have trouble urinating while on opiates.... the best way to go, in my opinion, is to sit on the stool, lean forward as far as possible(as to put pressure on your bladder) and squeeze(not too hard!).repeat if needed. it usually works within 5 minutes, but it is still difficult..... i dunno, just give it a try, it may work for you, it does for me.
