Your double slit
All Shall Fall

I hunger for the way things were
Before they were the way things are
Before the earth and all the stars
Were carved upon the deep and vast

But if I chose to Be before
time and all it held in store,
I would have known the only truth
The lonely truth-
all shall fall.

^Thanks. I was going for a kind of nursery rhyme cadence....It was also a text I sent Miss Swilow to much wtfs??? :D

This reminds me of a poet I read at school, whose name has slipped my mind.

I liked the style and the theme. Nice work :)

Awesome, sets the scene for a long tale ready to be told around a campfire.

Quite pleasurably destructive. I enjoyed the cosmic scale of this.

Maybe it all falls in the end
But there's time between then and now
For bloodied rituals to find the secrets
Hidden by the minds of Gods

Life's mission is not about ending
It's about the path before the pall,
I look around at the wonder
sooner or later-
all shall fall.

I really like this.

You've nailed the metre like a metronome, and then the way it resolves in the last three lines... Beautiful.
