All men play on 10 (METAL THREAD 3.0)

That comp is so good I'm gonna make a copy myself. Fucking Sadistik Intent, that stuff is gnarly.
However, I suggest it may benefit from the inclusion of some Incantation.

Thanks man, but I already made it! Maybe someone else might want it tho...

Usually I don't listen to metal but some time ago I accidently zapped across some MTV metal show where they played a tune where the lyrics included something like "you will make the same mistake" which I think referred to suicide. This video was pretty evil and well produced. Anybody recognize this?

I read an interview with Hoglan saying there was supposed to be reunion, and he was game (he is a self-proclaimed "drum whore"). My fave is "Time does not heal"... I like the medieval flavour to their lyrics/etc, the start to Psychosexuality is just so wicked

someone want to find me a download link for the band splatterhouse?

not the punk band but the death metal one.

i beg you. :(

hyper-speed grindcore with drum machines doesn't really do it for me. >>

that band does cool things with electronics...they don't use a machine because they can't find a drummer who can play blastbeats.

genghis is the shit.

I have no idea what sequencers they prefer.
Regardless, they are doing something special, and it runs remarkably close to the whole of my musical tastes run through a blender.

had to get the metal thread bumped anyhow... :)

I was too lazy to check if anyone has already mentioned them is this thread, but I highly recommend the Canadian death metal/ metalcore/ deathcore band:

Despised Icon

I had the chance to see them for the first time with The Red Chord and Through the Eyes of the Dead the other night, and I was mighty impressed. Seems like these "deathcore" bands (death metal with more breakdowns) are popping up a lot lately; can't say I mind...I definitely dig the combination.

Despised Icon's most recent album is The Ills of Modern Man. Go cop that shit.

I would say if you like stuff like Dying Fetus, jobforacowboy, The Black Dahlia Murder, All Shall Perish, and Skinless, you will enjoy this band.

peace.

Anytime! Here's a bit for you: the album and said band in your avatar is overrated, mainly by posers.

*sigh*

"poser?" What are you, 15?

The DEvin Townsend band isn't strictly metal, but it's better than SYL in my (often maligned) opinion. It's actually so fucking good, I wouldn't hesitate to compare him to Beethoven (assuming Beethoven is one of the greats in the discussion)

And "Ziltoid the Omniscient" is really good. The special edition is out with the video spots of Ziltoid's messages to us feeble humans. LOL
