i have the album as well. i liek it, but not enough to listen to it constantly. judging by your handle, im sure you like them for their resemblance/relation to Death. Death imo is a far superior band, and again thats solely my opinion.

sadly, i dont think i own any of athiests music. one of those bands i somehow just never got around to getting into. this post shall inspire me to change that.

Hehe, I knew my nickname would do that to someone sooner or later. no, it just popped into my mind - I didn't even remember it was a Chuck-led band when I typed it in. For once I decided on putting a complettely half-assed nickname. incidentally (!), I do like Death, but think they're overrated (but isn't everything? (except Cynic))

If you love melodic death and doom death then this album is a beautiful blend of both - higly recommended :)



If you love Draconian then this is a must have!

Anyone else listened to the latest Rush album? Hehe... it reminds me so much of Jane's Addiction's last album too, the corniness, the fruitless attempt of drug-burnt middle-aged men trying to imitate their former magic (complete with the same shift to "heaviness" and everything). Aside from the comparison to their 70s stuff though, it's decent.

hyper-speed grindcore with drum machines doesn't really do it for me. :\

necrophagist and decapitated alone would bring me out to that, and def with cephalic carnage their new cd is good too. cattle decapitation kind of sucks imo but i only have 1 album.

Wood I think you would definitely dig Arsis. Ion Dissonance are pretty cool too; tech-grind shenanigans. Beneath the Massacre ain't half bad, if a bit generic. Never heard Blood Runs Black or the Faceless.

Fuck no! That band RULES. I listen to Darkness Descends daily. Seriously, every day. I prefer it to Reign In Blood as far as thrash goes as well. They really need to get something going again, those guys. Hoglan should sort it out now that SYL is done.
