All I want is MDMA

Does anyone know if testing kits exist that test the purity of the pill? I only want MDMA as pure as possible and I have been unable to find any kits that test the purity of the pills. They tell of course if the have an extacy like substance (MDxx) but couldn't there still be other crap in there, just the majority of it is MDxx? Is that how the test works? Any way to test its purity or strength or freshness? I live in hawaii so it would have to be mailorder style...

Yes, My girlfriend & I sell Thin Layer Chromatography sets..
These can check for the presence of each substance in the pill, but they cannot tell you how much. They are used to identify EXACTLY which substance(s) you have
i.e. you can see if you have MDEA and not just MDxx
These sets can detect PMA too!

aj: by your logic, EZ-Test can test for anything right?
anyhow, EZ-Test is a good product (I sell it, so I must like it right??)

It sounds like u have a great product! Is this relatively new? U definitely need to spread the news of your testing kit; this is the 1st i've heard of such a thing.
A quick ?, can this test kit distinguish b/t MDMA & MDA?

do you have any instructions on the use of TLC kits? we are talking very dumbed down here, the few i've seen require a working knowledge of basic chemistry, which frankly i don't have...
i have a few more questions about TLC for you but i'll save em for email.
 
Well, you write "These sets can detect PMA too! " but I guess you mean these TLC things can _really_ detect it.
EZ Test does not detect it but since there is no color change, if your pill happens to be PMA, EZ Test (yes, agreed) does not detect PMA but tells you the substance is not an Ecstasy like substance.
Sorry for the confusion.
Do you have a web page where these TLC sets are explained in a way that I can understand it too, I have no chemical knowledge ;-)

Well... I took 5 minutes to put a very basic website together (i.e. absolutely CRAP) I'm a VB programmer / photoshop expert - NOT a web guy.. but here's the URL http://www.ravesafe.20m.com

I'll briefly explain it in this message (seeing as I'm still needing to "translate" the instructions from chemistry to plain english)

What you would do is take one of the chromatography plates, and mark 2 lines, one 1 cm from one end, and the other 13 cm from the first line.
The 1st line is the starting point, and the second is the solvent distance (i.e. the finish line)
you take a scraping of a pill, and dissolve it in methanol (supplied) and with an eye dropper (supplied) you put a drop of this dissolved pill solution on the starting line.
next you would place the plate in a jar, vertically with the starting line at the bottom. In the jar you would have already placed your reagent. the reagent will move up the plate. remove the plate when the reagent reaches the finish line.
Finally, you expose the plate to iodine crystals (supplied) and that will stain the plate revealing spots where the drugs have landed. Each drug will move a different distance. just measure how far it moved, divided by the total surface distance (13cm) to get the rf. We supply rf values for the following
MDMA, MDEA, MDA, PMA, Ketamine, Amphetamine, Methamphetamine, Ephedrine, LSD, LSA (the stuff you get from morning glory seeds), PCP, Psilocybin, and a whole bunch more that I can't remember right now ..
Anyhow, the whole process takes about 25 minutes.

Yep, real EZ-Tests.. I must say they got here very promptly.
If there is more than one substance in the sample, there would be a spot on the chromatography strip for each one of the substances.
i.e. you could see MDMA and MDEA easily with this test method
Also, if we don't have the reference info for a particular drug, and you happen to have a pure (or fairly pure) sample of that substance, you can make your own refernce value by doing a test on that pure substance.
