Hey people ...
Just reading through my poetry book and stumbled across a poem I wrote to go with my 21st photo board ... Thought I'd share it
All about me
Born on the ninth of November
A child her parents did adore
Until little baby Tenielle
Learnt to piddle on her bedroom floor
Looking so young and innocent
Her parents knew it was fake
Offering her as a flower girl
Aged three, what a big mistake
Big blue eyes and chubby cheeks
A handful for her mother
When this little girl wasn't whinging
She was fighting with her brother
Returning home from Dads
In such a messy way
Little Tenielle prepared for the worst
But pre-school saved the day
Going out on weekends
Her best outfit she did wear
And finally when Tenielle started school
She finally grew some hair
Dress ups next door was always fun
Colour co-ordination plus
Tobogganing at six years old
Tenielle didn't fuss
She was soon to take up physie
And quite enjoyed it too
But slowly she lost interest
And took up didgeridoo
Flower girl again
Experienced by now
No whinging or complaining
She knew exactly how
Slowly progressing through primary school
And the famous year six dance
Not long after she started tap
Jazz and clog she soon advanced
Always making new friends
Around the age of eleven
Then eight years of karate
Saw her black belt in 97'
Year ten formal at the Workers
No alcohol served at the bar
Year twelve a different story
She didn't have to look too far
As soon as she was legal
Things slowly got out of hand
So she packed her bags and off she went
Causing havoc in Queensland
Night by night, club by club
Usually at the bar
Finally trying to be civil
Having dinner at lone star
The following night she lost control
And went for another drink
Then found it quite amusing
Hiding under the kitchen sink
A night out with the girls
Every once in a while
As long as she was clubbing
She was always wearing a smile
She met new friends when starting work
Tenielle thought it was the best
The highlight being the Christmas party
Free alcohol and fancy dress
Aged twenty, thought she'd try soccer
Premiers by year end
But nothing beats a hard days work
Earning drinking money for next weekend
