alka seltzer shots??

Hey everyone i spent some time digging but couldn't find anything explaining alka seltzer shots..

A friend of mine was telling me about them but i couldn't really understand what he was explaining so i thought this would be a perfect way to find out!

If it helps, my preferred method of ingesting meth is smoking. Snorting does nothing (nose is fucked up) I usually swallow it only when I'm at work and need to stay up, and i never have IV'd and don't want to.

From what i understand you get a shot glass filled with water, drop alka seltzer into it, drop meth into it and then down it all. apparently when it kicks in you get a massive rush similar to the first time you ever ingested meth.

Seems pretty simple but before I go dumping my beautiful clear into alka seltzer, I have a few questions.

How much meth should i use?

Do i use a full alka seltzer tab? seems like a lot for such a small amount of water.

Are the effects better than smoking or ingesting regularly?

What type of high is it?

Hello all,

Long time viewer, first time poster here. I thought I would give a real time review of this method as I just tried it myself for the very first time. I dissolved about .25g of clear in about an ounce of water first, added 1/2 tab of Alka Seltzer to it and waited for the tab to dissolve then took it down like a shot of booze. The taste was not great and the aftertaste lingers so have a toothbrush handy.

My usual preferred ROA is IV and I’ve been an almost daily IV user for the better part of the last decade. My veins are not what they once were so after reading some of the comments on here I figured I’d give this method a go and see how it compares.

As for the “rush” …. Anyone who has ever IV’d meth will tell you that nothing is comparable to that rush, and for me that’s been true. However, I will say that it’s been about 20 mins since my drink and the feeling is pretty good. Not by any means the same rush as with IV, but I definitely like this better than putting it up my butt. 😂 all in all I’d say it’s a close second to shooting it, at least for me….and apparently for my buddy below the belt because he’s now fully awake and feeling the tingle lol. I’m gonna go let him have some quality time with Miss Michigan ✋ while he’s awake. Lol

Oh, you're quiet welcome! I'll just be here in my wicker rocking chair on my digital front porch watching the internet traffic go by and yelling at youngens that tresspass and overdose on my lawn! 🤣
 
Why use something that contains aspirin? That's kind of rough on an empty stomach to begin without making it part of a meth session. Antacids like tums or even just baking soda may potentiate meth and other amphetamines a bit, maybe, but why? Unless you're really short on meth and desperate to make it go as far as possible then I'm not sure what the appeal is. Just dose accordingly and enjoy predicable effects.

Fwiw I haven't noticed a great deal of potentiation with dexamphetamine and antacids (haven't tried Alka Seltzer specifically) nor have I noticed having something acidic with my breakfast like juice making it weaker, but that just me with dex in the therapeutic range.

I don't think she's trying to be harsh or judgemental, caustic painkillers+meth being a potentially unbrilliant idea is a valid observation. You're right though we can be way stupider if we just believe in ourselves.

Yeah, I'm from old school press tab good ecstasy era as well.. And I agree. First time I did an Alka-Seltzer shot, I used .35, half a seltzer tab in a shot glass of red bull....and I walked to the store 20-25 mins later, and by the time I arrived I felt like I was rollin on X!! Full on body high, my top of my head was tingling. My eyes were doing the rapid vibrating shit, going in and out of focus...felt amazing...one extra thing it did for me that X didn't do, was it made me EXTREMELY fucking horny!!!! Like I didn't buy what I went to the store to buy. I turned right around, walked out and went straight home, grabbed my wife, (who was hanging out with about 5 of our friends), told our friends "I'm so fucking high", "I need my wife upstairs with me for awhile", and I took her upstairs. SORRY. Probably TMI..But yeah, drinking the bong water gets you extremely high too. If it's pretty cloudy then only a couple small sips will do. I have some shit a month ago. Real cloudy looked like used tea..took 3 sips and me and my gf, were high and awake for 4 days, without hardly any meth throughout those four days.. Good shit

And you really felt there was a substantial difference between the same dose with Alka-Seltzer and the same without but also taken orally? And that wasn’t the first time you took high dose meth orally?

I would be interested if a combining it with a tums pill would have the same effect.

The ideal experiment would be comparing oral meth alone, with the alka seltzer combo, tums, and maybe even a baby aspirin to isolate what aspect of the alka seltzer drives the potentiation.

In a perfect experiment, these conditions would be blinded, with the subject only knowing sample A-D, but with the flavor and fizziness of the alka seltzer, I think unblinding would happen upon tasting the concoctions.

If it were possible to measure heart rate and blood pressure, these readouts may be less subjective than the qualitative high, but they are not 100% immune to the placebo effect.

I’ve taken meth with Tums and there isn’t a major difference. I highly doubt there is with aspirin. I won’t take Alka-Seltzer because it has things in it that I don’t consume so I can’t try this exactly. But I’m going to test with aspirin and with aspirin and Tums in the future.

So far, I seem to be immune to placebo, so I make a decent case study.

Being immune to placebo can happen but different types of placebo effect occur through pretty vastly different neural mechanisms, though with enough people with different pre-conceived notions of what will happen, the results might approach some truth.


The study below gave people an “open label placebo” where they were told they were getting a placebo for ischemic pain (likely putting on a blood pressure cuff and exercising hand muscles, I can confirm that it hurts). About 60% of subjects were immune to the placebo effect, but 40% experienced it. In a later arm of the study, naloxone or saline was administered without alerting the subjects, and the naloxone was sufficient to block the placebo effect, indicating that placebos for analgesia likely are causing the release of opioid peptides and are actually treating pain.

I suspect that in any case of placebo the brain is actually releasing chemicals, most likely something like what the person expects to be released. I WISH placebo worked for me! I am capable of magical thinking but apparently not that type.
