The new AIC is a shell of itself. Sorry to open the can of worms but it's going to be opened by someone anyway. Songs like "White Line" (I'm not sure if that's the name but if you've heard it you know which one) and "Frogs" can't be matched. I like their earliest material and their latest material (with Staley) the most. Oh yeah, Rotten Apple.. still one of the bass lines I've heard and I've heard a LOT of music.

of course it is, thats why the new AIC is not even brought up. i only listen to AIC of the past and only will. even listening to DuVall attempt to sing what Layne once belted out sounds hideous and its something I would have never gotten in to if it was DuVall from the beginning. Layne had a vocal range that was untouched. I have heard NO ONE come close to what he was capable of doing and it's been how long now? 23+ years since AIC first dropped. crazy when you think that far back. also, just seeing Layne struggle and still be able to crush MTV - Unplugged like he did. one of the BEST unplugged's to ever air. I had the VHS and now the CD.

He's my inspiration!!!!

I wish I would've been old enough to see him tear up the stage.

The real thing. I can play the guitar for this song but it is impossible to play the riff and sing at the same time. That first album was my fave.

I LOVE SINGING THAT SONG!!!!

Any of their songs, but that one's one of my faves lately :D

I'd kill to go back and see AIC live with Layne. Such a unique voice. In a good way.

Hell yeah! Love all their albums, but especially Dirt. Layne's voice was beyond amazing. It was a real privilege meeting his mom in '05 when I went to Seattle for the Layne Staley Tribute, and meeting Mike Starr that same night was beyond awesome. No singer can ever replace Layne, I don't even listen to their newer stuff. RIP Layne and Mike. Keep rockin' in heaven.
