That's really horrible. Thankfully he's alive and hopefully he doesn't have any serious long term damage. He's an amazing artist. He captures the psychedelic experience better than anyone else IMO.

My stomach flipped and my heart sunk when I read the title of this thread. The loss of an artist and human being of his caliber would be unquantifiable. I am so glad him and his wife are both ok and will hopefully, in time, make a complete recovery. They will be in my thoughts and my heart goes out to them.

Today it's three years since my neighbours husband died - my neighbour is a wonderful woman of 78 years vintage to her also.

The human race is obviously not ready to handle the power and responsibility that comes with operating a motor vehicle. Many individuals may be, but as a whole, we are not.

Both of my parents have narrowly escaped deadly car accidents by pure luck, and were endangered through no fault of their own. I'm a result of the fusion of THEIR genomes - I don't see what makes me special, or what warrants all of the societal pressure put on me to get behind the wheel of a vehicle.

Thanks for posting that cosm blog entry. I couldn't seem to find anything besides the dose nation post. It seems like they are taking the situation as positively as possible and not dwelling in anger or hate. Leave it to someone as peaceful and lucid as Alex Grey to take a terrifying situation and turn it into hope and blessing. "Nothing like a brush with death to help you appreciate life." They're perspective made me really happy. Love goes out to you both and may you find peace throughout your recovery!
