I personally am happy alcohol no longer appeals to me.
But I will admit that drinkers who enjoy getting their drink on are often a good time to be around as long as they can handle themselves.
It's almost like it's enjoyable to be around others enjoying themselves, regardless of what I personally enjoy.

Killians Irish Red is the best standard table beer for all occasions in my experience though. Plus its surprisingly good for what is essentially a nicely dressed macro brew.
(Note I said standard table beer not like "connoisseur's delight")
(You can drink 2 with dinner or down like 7 with friends it's versatile and pleasant)

I'm a man of simple working class taste, Miller Lite is the only beer for me.
Started out with Budweiser, as that's what my father drank. Realized that must've been why he was so miserable cause that shit gives you a right headache.
