Alcohol tolerance after meth

I did a search on this and didn't see anything...apologize if I just missed it.

So a number of years ago I used to be a pretty heavy drinker. I took some time off and while I still drink more than some, I think I'm still within a reasonable amount. My tolerance also seemed to return a little closer to the average person's.

Then I started smoking speed. I noticed after/during using it takes a LOT more to even get me a buzz, and even then the buzz barely lasts. The good thing about this is I'm less interested in alcohol, the bad thing is it costs more when I do want to get drunk...

Has anyone else noticed this? Why does it happen?

Usually when you take a strong stimulant with alcohol, the stimulant will negate all or most of the depressant effects of alcohol pretty quickly.

when i was on meth/ice/speed it was impossible to get drunk.. but i did like to drink the next day to help come down.. if u can afford to drink while doing meth go for it,.. it will kinda give u something to do instead of stay awake and let your mind go crazy.. if u cant afford it it's pointless u wont get drunk until ur coming down.. even then its not the same drunk ur used to.. now im gonna preach a little.. if u havent been smoking meth long please consider stopping.... i went through the craziest time of my life while on meth... its been almost 2 years since i stopped ( i used to inject as well as smoke ) and my mental state is still not 100% back to normal
