Alcohol Alcohol Megathread

arghhhh fuck it i'll just die fuckin psychiatrists dont even have have schizophrenic ill write a long letter and prove i'm not
 
... With higher amounts of alcohol there is definitely some kind of negative effect the next day. But no headache, it's way more functional than a normal hangover. Just a slightly raw feeling.
 
Where did you find out about vanillan being used for this? Has research been done on it?

The only thing I can add to this discussion is that I drink coconut water after drinking. I notice better hydration and less hangover drinking a combination of coconut water and regular water vs water alone. Staying hydrated goes along way toward preventing next day headache, the problem is it interferes with sleep cause I have to get up to pee so much.
 
First off what medication are you on?

Were your seizures related to drug use or have you been diagnosed with epilepsy?
 
Rivaroxaban 10mg

Bisoprolol 10mg

Sodium Valporate 500mg (i'm thinking of chucking in Lyrica in the mix for extra protection but one doc said it's dangerous to mix lyrica with other antiseizures and another just handed it out to me like candy no questions asked)

They don't know whether it was related to drug use or if i'm diagnosed with Epilepsy

Yeah don’t mix alcohol with those meds. Definitely don’t mix it with pregabalin.
 
ok i wont take the lyrica with it. can i get away though with drinking on those other meds though? it says 2 drinks

Forgot I got a shitload of Valium to increase it and no i'm safe with it i can handle big doses of benzos.......especially valium

Benzos and alcohol are not a good combo either.

Like if you’re sipping two light beers you’d be fine but don’t be getting crazy with spirits or whatever.

Sure..... but for people like me that's how it starts and then all of a sudden you've had 12 drinks and 8 xanax pills and you're in the back of a police cruiser. It's a VERY slippery slope and benzos + alcohol create a very dangerous illusion of sobriety.

I've been arrested 6 times in my life. Almost every time benzos and alcohol were involved. Really dangerous combo.

i'm fine on benzos and alcohol.....especially valium valium does hardly anything compared to xanax.

yeah but what your trying to say is you can have more than 2 drinks a day then 12...but your not eplieptic?

I am not epileptic however I am prone to random seizures. I had 2 seizures as a kid simply from inhaling helium and many more as an adult from random things/drugs including one night seizure in which I nearly bit my tongue in half. Couldn't speak for 2 weeks.

and... no? I was trying to say for alcoholics like me having 2 drinks turns into 12+ without me even thinking. I can't have just 2.

so just stick to 2 alcoholic drinks? then once it wears off drink more. not that the 2 drinkins will do anything
 
You are fine man. Chill out.

Drink a few beers. 1 per hour. Then none for some days. Try that to start. If you drink every day, you will certainly start to see something going on. Will take a bit, but happens to everyone. Especially on those meds. But don't think a few beers a few times a month will harm you.

If you drink 2 weeks in a row, then stop, you probably will be at more risk for a seizure. Drink in moderation.
