Opioids Alcohol for opiate withdrawal

In SWIMS last post i explained how loperamide works wonders for his withdrawals from tramadol. SWIM also has great success with drinking to relieve withdrawals and was wondering if this has been a success for any other opiate dependent person. Im guessing since tramadol is pretty weak compared to other opiates that drinking works for SWIM but not with someone who is on something heavier.
 
First off, don't use SWIM here... period. It offers no legal protection, no one else uses it and it give me a headache and kills my erection when I have to read it.

Next, please read the forum guidelines and standards links in my signature because this doesn't have enough substance to warrant its own thread and has been discussed plenty in the past. The consensus that most come to is that while drinking alleviates some of the withdrawal, the crash/hangover afterward is so amplified during withdrawal that most find it to not be worth it except in extreme moderation.
