Misc Alcohol Effects Compared To Benzodiazepines

Thanks for the heads up on the birth defects from benzos. I was only aware of the changes in thinking from benzos (and the as of yet unproven link to cancer).
While we all know that alcohol does all that + damage many internal organs and has a much more solid link to cancer.

i will never understand alcohol addiction, drinking everyday all day. whattt you just feel so dirty and toxic

I guess that's one of the good things about alcohol - get really drunk one day and you're sure to feel like shit the next. In a way it makes it quite safe addiction wise amongst the gabaergic drugs.

defo, i feel like shit when im on it too tho, unless i have some stims in me.

even having a couple of beers in the afternoon by the evening you feel like shit and hungover, worst drug

The above few posts make sense...and yes, the hangovers from alcohol are horrible. It's when one drinks the next day to ease the hangover that it becomes dangerously addictive. Most people would not dream of drinking while they have a hangover but if 1 realizes that if they drink as soon as they wake, all it takes is a couple of drinks to feel the blissful numbness again... they are very likely going down a dangerous road.

Well I know Alcohol is good for just mixing with Cocaine but..... Still not quite sure and clear on how Benzos cause depression exactly?

Anyway, the drug that is closest in effects to alcohol is ghb. Feels really similar (but still a little distinguishable), last less than alcohol and doesn't have a hangover. Also not as bad for your body (there is a study that says it can cause neurotoxicity, but it was done on rats + lower doses did more damage).
Shame that alcohol isn't illegal and ghb legal.
