alcohol doesnt give me same euphoria as before ...

I have been using paroxetine (stopped it a week ago) and valium and lyrica and baclofen. Could any of those be responsible for decreasing alcohol euphoric effects ? If so i want to get back the alcohol euphoric effects how !!

what beer were you drinking that gave you euphoria ?
all beer does for was relax the shit out of me
even in my teen yrs i never noticed any type of euphoria
but yes look up what alcohol affects and what the medications you listed affects
prob be awhile to get back to "normal"

Alcohol was never euphoric for me. Just made me feel like I'm under the ocean.(don't mind the feeling) but everything loses its euphoria if you do it to much.

Back in high school alcohol was so goddamn euphoric to me, felt like a blanket of warmth and soothing pleasure. Now I don't even feel intoxicated, just relaxed. I'm not even a heavy drinker, maybe twice a week, so I don't know what the hell happened. I'm kind of glad though, I'd probably be a full blown alcoholic if it still felt that euphoric. I do miss it though....

I'm going to guess that the last 3 medications, the valium lyrica and baclofen are taking away the euphoria. My rationale is that alcohol affects gaba-a, gaba-b, and is an nmda antagonist. The valium desensitized your gaba-a receptors, baclofen desensitized your gaba-b receptors, and lyrica seems to affect both to a degree, but I'm not positive on that one. Discontinuation of said meds, and probably a week or two later and the euphoria should come back.

^ Give his suggestion a try and let us know if it gets better. On a side note I forgot to mention that I've only lost the euphoria and pleasant buzz when I just drink, but if I drink and smoke weed I feel that old euphoria and soothing feeling again.
