Alcohol has always had very predictable effects for me (sedation, disinhibition, euphoria, "foggy thinking"). However, since I have started smoking cannabis, small doses of alcohol have treated me completely differently.
Sometimes, 2-3 beers will put me in frame of mind VERY similar to a mild cannabis buzz - enhancement of music, enhanced perception, abstract but clear thinking, objects "separating"; the visual field more clearly divided into individual objects. Very mild psychedelia essentially. Any more than this and I start getting classically drunk and this phase is over.
I stress this has only happened since I've started smoking cannabis. It doesn't particularly bother me (it's pretty nice actually...2 for the price of 1!) - but any thoughts of why this may be? Alternatively, has anyone experienced this? I've heard of cannabis resurrecting hallucinogenic experiences, but could it happen in reverse?
