Alcohol and Oxycontin (10mg)

so im prescribed to take 2, 10mg Oxycontin - one dose in the am, one in the pm - but my friend wants me to go out to the bars with him sometime soon.

I know you cant drink and take them at the same time, what my question is, is how long do i have to not have oxy in my system before i drink?

Hi, you have to wait at least 24 hours while stabilized on Oxycontin to be able to safely drink again. How long have you been taking the medication for?

As a rule, I would'n drink at all on Oxycontin, as the half-life is very long

thats what im thinking too, but my friend is pretty adamant about it haha.. oh well, i dont like to drink anyways

the best advice would to not drink at all. however, i bet most of us on this forum are druggies (myself included), and so i dont believe adherence to this rule happens.

you should be fine with 1-2 beers, 3 beers if pushing it, and over that OD occurs.
